In Memoriam of those taken too soon!

"Today is the last day that I'll say goodbye. I let you go to rest in peace, but your memory and love will stay. I will keep it forever safe in my heart until I see you again. And when that day comes we will rejoice and celebrate that we are together and we will live on in paradise." xx

**Below are statements from friends and family during the funerals of: Godfrey Amaranth, Barthelemy Beaumont, Emmeline & Penelope Ebrim, Neville Vancoeur, Rashad Domvallier, Lorelai Lee and Shannon Beaumont**

"Today we bury our own, our friends and family. We say goodbye and hope for peace. We hope for restitution and resolution. My heart aches for the families that have lost someone today. I pray for you to have comfort and peace. Please join me in a moment of silence for those taken too soon." Leo Rys

_-

Priest of the Family - "I will speak for those families that wish to be silent at this time, for those that have no families, may you all rest in peace.

May we stand in prayer. Dear heavenly father, we pray that you take care of those that are joining you today. We pray that you will give their families and friends peace and comfort in this dark time. We pray dear Lord that you grant us all with strength and courage to fight what's ahead. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen."

Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you for coming today.

Today I am forced to say goodbye to my wife and my daughter. I knew that a day might come that I would have to say goodbye to my wife, but to bury a child, it's unbearable. It's indescribable. Thank you Em for a life full of love and adventure. To my darling sweet daughter, I loved you so, I promise to take good care of M&M! Fly high sweet girl." Landon Ebrim

**After a horrible week since the attack. Funerals have been taking place all week. People are exhausted and are angry at having to do this again so soon after the last attack. They each have buried someone they love, now they must fight so they won't lose anyone else. Hana had a lovely celebration for her mother. It's tradition in their families to hold a seven day celebration of life. Today is that seventh day. **

The Priest of the Family makes a statement for Hana's family.

"I feel like I've said this so many times this week, and I am saddened that I have to continue to do this. We are here today to mourn the loss of Lorelai Lee. I think Hana would like to say a few words."

[Hana]- Today we end the celebration of the life of my mother Lorelai Lee. I'd like to start by lighting a lantern to show my mother the way back home.

*Hana and Xinghai each light a lantern and set it free. Xinghai says quietly "I'll find you my love". As the lanterns set in the sky, Hana continued her speech.

"Mother, we may have had our differences, we didn't always get along too well, but I always knew you loved me.

The night of the gala had been the first time we talked in years. I showed you pictures of your grandchildren and you were so thrilled to meet them one day.

We made amends and we promised to not let anything come between us again, but we wouldn't get to keep that promise. The night was ruined when you were taken from me.

I will forever remember you, my children will know how great their grandmother was, how she taught me to stand up for those you love. Mǔqīn, live on, I love you!"

*They let the ashes go in the wind. Setting free a life taken too soon. The Officiant makes a final prayer..

"E noho oe ma ka huakai i ka malamalama. Moe i ka maluhia. ( May you stay on the journey to the light. Rest in Peace.)"

Shannon Funeral:

[Bert]- "Thank you all for coming today. Although we have already buried my father, I wanted a chance to say a few words about him before we move on.

My father wasn't the easiest person to get along with. He was distant and very strict. He was my father and I looked up to him. Thank you father for being the best you could. Go rest in peace with my mother."

*Bertrand wipes a tear from his eye and sits down.

[Leo]- "We are gathered here today to say goodbye to Shannon Beaumont. She was a wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend. She was a wonderful teacher and loved helping others. May she find her way to God and take shelter in his arms. I believe Maxwell has a few words he'd like to say."

**Maxwell steps up and is hit in his heart by how many people have shown up for his wife's funeral. He is touched deeply by the show of sympathy and love.**

[Max]- "Thank you, I appreciate your kind words.

When I first met Shannon I knew she was going to be my everything. She has always lifted me up and gave me courage in my weak moments. She has always been my rock. Life isn't always easy, but she made it seem like it was easy.

I loved her so much and I hope that I was able to give back to her..... That she gave to..... me.....

*Maxwell starts to cry and can't speak anymore, Drake comes up beside him and starts to finish his speech

{Drake}- it's okay buddy, I'll finish this for you, okay?

*Maxwell wipes his face and says..

{Max}- no, I need to finish this.

*Drake nods, but keeps his arm around Maxwell's shoulder.

[Max]- the day we got married was the biggest and best Beaumont Bash we ever had. We danced, ate, laughed and danced some more. I never knew a person could out dance me until I met you.

I believe my mother sent me you. And now, you both are smiling down on us, watching over us.

I promise to make sure our daughter knows all the good you did. Through her, I will have a lifetime of you. Thank you Shannon, thank you for being...

*Maxwell starts crying again and says through his tears..

[Max]- ... my light. I'll see you again my sweet angel.

*Maxwell turns to Drake and starts crying. They both hug each other tight

[Priest of the family]- Thank you all for coming. Shannon's family has requested I say a prayer as we lay her to rest.

Dear God, I ask that you grant Shannon's family peace. I ask that you give them comfort and to strengthen them. Lord, I ask you to welcome Shannon in your arms and comfort her. We ask that you will ease the pain of those she has left behind. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen."
