The day started as any normal day, Norway did his paper work, prepared some things for the up and coming World Meeting. He called England and Romania, who wished him a happy birthday, and he went on with his day.

But Norway didn't understand why everyone made such a big deal. They were all nations, anyway. Besides no nation is really sure about their real birth date, usually only going by the day they were founded, habited, or gained independence. Also once again they were nations, which means they were basically immortal, so birthdays are kinda useless. But Finland, every year, insisted he throw some kind of party for him and the other Nordics.

Norway sighed as he opened the door to the home that all the Nordics shared. 'Why are the lights off?' He thought to himself. As he flicked the lights on he was greeted by a big, homemade sign that spelled. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUKAS!" The blond flinched as Denmark jumped out from behind the couch with big blue balloons. "Matthias! We were supposed to jump out all together!" Finland said, groaning. The small Finnish man was soon followed by Sweden and Iceland. To Norway's surprise Romania, Moldavia, England, and Greenland even showed up.

After about an hour of mingling and just sitting around talking, it was cake and present time. "Ok, I'll go first!" Finland said handing a medium sized box to the Norwegian. The blond took the box and carefully unwrapped the paper, setting it aside for it to be thrown away later. Norway's eyes widened a bit at the object in the box. "Finland, you got me a new cape! Thank you!" He said, allowing the tinniest of smiled on his lips. Making the Danish man behind him almost squeal in delight. "You're welcome!" Finland smiled. As the presents came Norway thanked everyone. Romania got him a new wand. England the whole set of Harry Potter books. Sweden got him a new shirt, which said 'I ❤️ Norway'. Moldova got him some new cross hair clips, Denmark made him a photo album of memories, in which the Dane earned a hug and smile from the Norwegian. Greenland also got him a shirt. And Iceland was last. "Happy birthday.....big brother." Iceland said, handing Norway a small ring box.

Norway flipped open the box and at first he didn't do anything, just looked at the small dark black gem that sat on a silver band, a small silver cross in the middle. "I got you a mood ring, since you aren't fond of showing emotion, it'll do it for you. A small pice of paper that tells you what each color means is in the bottom." Iceland added. "Thank you, Emil! That was very thoughtful of you." Norway said, hugging the Icelandic man.

Soon everyone gathered around the table they all sang happy birthday to Norway. Who blew out the candle set on top of his cake. Which had his flag on it. And a quick reminder from Denmark to make a wish, but not to tell anyone or it won't come true. After everyone got a slice of cake, they went home with hugs and promises of see you soons.

Norway decided to take his new presents up to him room, once there he sat everything on the bed and sighed. As he started putting things away, picking up the ring box last, taking out that piece of paper that gave the mood and their respected colors.

Of corse you've got yellow for happy, red for anger, purple for love, blue for calm, etc. The blond man slipped the ring onto his second finger and went to lay on his bed. Pulling out his new book and flipping it open then began reading, an emotionless face.
