WILL BYERS was definitely what you would call absolutely dumb & confusing: social—but not outgoing, smart—but chooses to make dumb decisions , A leader—but chooses to be a follower. I think you get the memo, Not to much to talk about him, just your average bully (surprisingly not a jock!) gothic hot topic teen, and he was most definitely hostile—also not to mention absolutely head over heels for his boyfriend—Mike Wheeler

Mike and Will were definitely similar in most ways: they both enjoyed playing video games, they were definitely romantics, they both loved watching horror-movies, they were bookworms. 

And for the other side; They just loved seeing people in pain, it was a very pleasurable feeling for them indeed, watching a kicked body on the floor , blood cascading down a head was just enough to satisfy them—it was satisfying because for them, it felt good—if not—amazing to see that sight. Because, they could make people live what they've been through, like sharing a trauma in the most gruesome way possible. As it might seem like a god awful thing—which it is—they don't really care, why? Honey, they were born god awful. A homophobic, drunk addicted and abusive dad was enough for Will to lose it, Mike had it a bit better, his dad was just—not there, never present and never felt present, neither did his mom. But oh well, they were better than them anyways. 

MIKE WHEELER was almost the complete opposite of Will (personality wise). If Mike said he was going to do something he'll do it, if he chooses to be a leader in a cause he will lead, If Mike decided he was gonna be 'dumb' today he'll act dumb, and if the opposite he'll act smart as fuck, It made it easy for Mike to wrap people around his pinky, and it made it a hundred times easier to put on a sympathetic act. Obviously—Mike was no better than Will, if not worse, he was also a bully , just way more aggressive then Will —PS: he once bit a kids arm in the 3rd grade and the kid lost his arm...—  and Mike would do anything if it meant getting to hurt somebody, it was that bad.

So Will being Will, and Mike being Mike. After a couple stupid one-night stands and fuck and runs, they started dating in the beginning of junior year

—and they have NEVER  felt happier, so once they started dating, they became bullies together, always having a plan to absolutely ruin someone's reputation or even life. And thats when they got the name quoted by there school; "Hostile Lovers".
