SUMMARY: While seeking to cool off from the summer heat at Camp Half-Blood you encounter Percy and decide to spend the day together. Before you two part ways after a long exhilarating day Percy cant help but confess something to you..

The hot summer sun at Camp Half-Blood made the thought of swimming in the refreshing lake a dream. You left your cabin and walked to the shore, at first the trees shaded the area making the walk bearable. However, when the trees ended and you reached the shore the sun finally hit you, causing you to walk to the shore at a quicker pace.

Other campers were already swimming around, or sitting in the shallow water area while others chose to stay in the cabins in the shade of trees or beneath umbrellas/canopies.

You walk along the shore looking for a spot to relax. You find an empty spot where no one is and begin to walk into the water. The water does indeed feel relaxing and cools you off from the summer heat.

The sun glimmers in the reflection of the small waves. There is a faint sound of other campers laughing, splashing, and chatting. 

Behind you, there is a sound of feet moving the sand and gravel, a group of people are approaching you. You turn your head and to your surprise, it is Clarisse and her friends from her cabin. Lucky for you she bullied every younger newcomer, which happened to include you.

She started saying the most basic bully lines which did not affect you but it was still annoying that they had nothing better to do. You ignore them by looking out at the waves and water but your attention is brought back to the people behind you when you hear someone else's footsteps approaching.

Then you hear another voice. Whoever they were, they sounded angry. "Would you leave her alone?" I heard the boy yell out to Clarisse and her group. 

When you turned around you were surprised to see Percy, Percy Jackson. He was also an unlucky victim of Clarisse and her other friends before he started fighting back.

Clarisse's friends were mostly scared of him so they were already gone, but Clarisse was somewhat less scared of him so she did not run.

"What are you gonna do?" Clarisse scoffed. 

Percy turned his head to look out at the vast water. Clarisse didn't need to think about what that meant, for he was Poseidon's son.

So she just sighed and walked away knowing what he could do since he could manipulate water. 

        "You alright?" Percy asked. You look up at him but get blinded by the sun in the process. "Yeah, I'm fine," you replied.

You had to look back down at the water to prevent eye damage. But suddenly you hear the rocks moving again, you also feel his presence right next to you.

You turn your head to look in that direction and you see that he has sat down beside you. You can observe that he is also staring out at the water.

This was awkward... you were just sitting silently but couldn't help but enjoy his presence.

You glanced over at him, the way his pretty blue eyes stared out at the waves made you get butterflies. You couldn't help but stare into them, getting lost in his eyes. So lost you didn't even notice when he turned to face you, he had noticed you staring.

It wasn't until he smiled that you realized he caught you. You quickly turned your head back to the ocean, embarrassed. 

"Sorry.." You said to him. You could feel your cheeks heating up, not from the sun's heat though. "Thanks for scaring Clarisse, but I'm getting kinda hot, I'm gonna go.." you awkwardly said, already plotting an escape plan.
