The sounds of gunfire and explosions can be heard throughout the area, engulfing the whole forest with the orchestra of death and destruction. Dust rounds pierced the head of an Ursa, and a downward slash cuts a beowulf in two. Another grimm was killed when a bunch of ice glyph imbibed themselves on its intier body, leaving the thing resembling that of a pin cushion. Four more grimm were killed when a round bronze shield flew and decapitated both their heads rolling on the forests ground, their body slowly dissipating and the shield went back to the direction it flew.

As the grimm keeps on charging with no end on sight, their assault was suddenly halted when a barrage of heavy  ordinance were chucked at them from a devastating long range grenade launcher. The creatures of darkness turned their attention to the one who annihilated their kin just moments ago. They reorient themselves and began to rush the offender with there fangs and claws barring down, ready to maim and devour the one that dares to attack them. once they were close they lunge themselves forward, ready to kill the attacker. But they were denied their just deserved, when a white and yellow colored shield block their strike effectively negating their assault. They looked at the new offender and was scrambling to get themselves up, however before they can fully stand right up, they were quickly eliminated when a red blur went past and bisected them from the right side of their waist, completely separating the lower and upper torso of the creatures body.

the never ending grimm attack has finally ended when the last was brutally killed by a very powerful fire dust infused shotgun blast to the face completely eradicating the creatures head, leaving it as nothing more than a useless, headless body.

"Good job everyone- phew, man that was tough." Jaune steady himself taking a breather from the fight and slowly adjusted his footing. He wiped the sweat from his forehead before folding up his shield, placing it in his left hip and sheathing crocea mors along the process. He looks at his comrades already finished with their end of the grimm assault. He turns around and gave a thumbs up at his ever energetic bomber of a teammate.

"Great job, nora."

Nora gives his fearless leader a wide smile and returns his gesture with a crisp, albeit sarcastic, salute.

"No problem jaune-jaune, and thanks for the assist."

"Don't mention it." He gave her a warm proud smile before returning his gaze back to the others and motions them all to gather at the middle of the clearing.

"Okay guys, since we completely and effectively exterminated the hordes of grimm in this area and destroyed the surrounding nest they have here. We can confidently declare our objective in this part of the forest is finally finished."

Half of them gave out a victorious shout while the rest just groaned and grunted, already sick and tired from the constant fighting and walking. They want everything to be done with and just go back and have a well deserved rest from it all. They were first pumped up from the prospect of them being granted their  first ever solo mission, granted they still have a teacher with them on this mission but they hardly ever intervene when they take on the grimm, opting to just hang back and evaluate their performance. But overtime they grew tired from the ongoing fighting, never catching a single break from the whole ordeal.

"Excellent work students, that was an amazing and glorious fight you all showed. I remember the time my team went on our first solo mission. HAHAHA, a truly eye opening experience."

Speaking of the professor. A boisterous laugh can be heard from right behind them, already starting his ever boring long tales about his days as a huntsman.

"Ugh. WHY, does it have to be him of all people." Yang forces out a very annoying groan already have enough of the professor's long winded tales of his youth.
