Part 5

Rain's POV

I sit on my bed and unwarp the gift Copper got me. A little black jewelry box. I open it slowly, and my heart skips a beat. Laying on the velvet black case is a small jade teardrop hanging from a silver chain. I take it out, putting it around my neck. I can't believe I had my first kiss tonight. I fall back against my pillow as I think about his lips on mine. I was ready to give myself to him. My heart was still beating hard in my chest. I smile like a damn Cheshire cat.

The next day, I slept in, and dad got a little upset because I was late for training. It's not the first time I've been late for training. I head to the locker rooms as I get there to change into my shorts and top.

"Wow, you're late," Avery says.

"Just a little, not much," I say.

"So is it true? Did you meet your mate?" she asked as we both changed.

"Yes, but I'm not allowed to be around him,"

"So he is rogue,"

"Dad doesn't even know anything about him," I say.

"Have you forgotten all them stores we were told?"

"No, but not all rogues are the same," I tell her, pulling my top on "Besides he seems nice."

"Be careful, Rain."

"His name is Copper, see what he got me for my birthday." I showed her the necklace. "

"Rain," she says.

"Don't tell Daddy," I tell her.

"You know I won't just please be careful."

I smile. "He's my mate, Avery he's not going hurt me."

We head out to join the others.

"It's nice of you to join us, Rain," dad says.

"Sorry I overslept," I say.

"I'm sure your enemy will understand that," he says. I roll my eyes at him, "Get into format," he tells us.

I go over where Emilio is getting into position. "So is it true you found your mate?" he asked.

"Does everyone know?" I ask as we start, dad yells fight.

"Yes, Hard he was rogue. Rian, tell me you're staying away from him. "

I slam him onto the mat. "Dad isn't letting me go near him, so you have nothing to worry about, Emilio," I tell him.

"I'm just looking out for you," he says.

I smile. "I know, but you really don't have to," I tell him, helping him up.

We get into format again. Practice lasts for over an hour before dad finally gives oder for us to hit the showers. After dressing, I meet Avery and Emilio outside the school.

"I'm hungry," I tell them as I get out.

"Avery said you went to see the rogue without your father knowing," Emilio says.

"Avery," I say, looking at her.

"He's my brother. I can't hide things from him," she says.

"You better not tell my father Emilio I'll never talk to you again," I tell him.

"Rain, that's dangerous, you don't know him," he says.

"He's not going hurt me," I tell him.

"How do you know?"

"His my mate."

He rolls his eyes. " Don't see him again, Rain. Rogues are killers. What if he gets mad and kills you? " he says.
