All Because of a Ruin Guard

Chapter 1

That ruin guard was way too hard for me, I need to do some more training. A click noise makes my ears twitch. When I turn to see what made that noise, my heart sinks. The ruin guard isn't dead. I brace myself for the blow of the missile. It hits. Hard. I run towards it, anger fueling me. We fight once again. Its health is low, so it doesn't take too much effort, but I'm tired and injured. I can't get back to Liyue in this condition.
What do I- 'If you awake to a knife at your throat, if monsters dig their claws into you, if death comes knocking at your door... Call out my name. Adeptus Xiao.' That's right, Xiao! "You called -" Xiao stops he looks at me with concern painted on his face. "Why." He asks. "Why?" I echo. "Why didn't you call me sooner?" He asks quickly."I- ah!" My ribs, Xiao waists no time in assessing my wounds. He takes me outside the cave and sits me on a rock. "Your ribs aren't broken, so you should be okay without a visit to Baizhu. But you should rest." "Uhm... about that. I don't have a place to stay, and Paimon is in mondstadt visiting the Acting Grand Master of the Knights of Favonious." Xiao looks at me, seemingly unimpressed by my excuse.
He sighs. "Well, I have a room at Wangshu Inn due to some circumstances. It's fully booked, so you can stay there." He gets up from his kneeling position. "But where will you sleep?" I ask. "I'm an Adeptus. I don't need sleep." "No! I am not sleeping at Wangshu Inn. Not when you won't have anywhere to sleep." I declare. He could always sleep in the same room, in the same bed - No! I look at Xiao's face he looks shocked. I totally made him uncomfortable. Why!? "Ahem... If that's what you want, then... I suppose that's what will happen."He replies.

Verr Goldet stares at us for a good minute before noticing I'm injured. She smiles at us smugly. "You can head to your room." She says to us with the smug look still on her face.
Xiao heads to his room with me still in his arms. When he gets there, instead of opening the door, he just teleports inside. "Hey, couldn't you have just teleported here in the first place?" I ask. "Yes, but I said I would tell Verr when I came back." "Oh, ok." Xiao sets me on the bed, and I scan the room. It just has a big bed, a nightstand, and a bit of other furnishings. Xiao kneels again in front of me, and he takes my hand. I just want to scream. My heart is beating way too fast to be normal, and my face is hot. Xiao looks me in the eye intently. Okay, okay. Breathe breathe, it's not like he is going to confess he loves you. So, as long as you don't say anything stupid, you're going to be fine. "Lumine, I can't take this anymore. I hate it when you don't call me, even when you need help." He gets up, my hand still in his, I stand up with him. "Lumine I -" I can't do this anymore! "I love you!"
