Chapter 3

"You're supposed to rest." Xiao whispers in my ear, my face burns when he does so. He's so close, and I can't shake what just happened. I want to melt, I'm so embarrassed.
Xiao kisses my neck, not as sweetly as he did earlier. When he pulls away, I look at him. I feel him staring at me, his eyes sharp yet gentle.
Xiao turns me around slowly. He looks me in the eye. I can't put my finger on it, but something about him feels different... I'm sober now, so... I know it's not the alcohol talking.
Before I can say anything, Xiao kisses me but pulls away, not even a second later. He drops me on the bed.
"You need to rest..." He says. Archons, I need to get my mind out of the gutter. And also, Ow! My ribs... wah.

The next morning. The sun is shining, and the birds are singing.(Xiao is not the bird that's singing") And nothing is right with the world! I get changed into my usual attire, and I'm all rested up and ready to face the world! I miss Xiao... I can call his name... Yeah! That's totally a great idea with no bad consequences whatsoever! "Xiao!" Funny he didn't come... "Xiao?" Not this time either... I miss him. "Xiao!?"
"What's wrong!?" Xiao appears, shirtless. Why? I mean, thank Archons, I get to see this, but why?
"I just missed you... and I was worried when you didn't come..."
"Oh... I was uhm... changing... But nevertheless, why are you up? It's still way too early for you to be up." He's changing the subject... I wanna kiss him... I want to kiss him so badly... I might go insane.
I walk towards Xiao, looking at his muscles, the look of his bare skin intoxicating me. He just looks at me, confusion painted on his face. Oh, if you knew what I want to do to you, you might actually get scared.
"Lumine? I uh..."
Hesitation makes me want to kiss you even more... fuck this. I kiss Xiao on the lips. He leans in, and now his and my chest is touching. I can feel his rapid heartbeat. I pull away.
"You still need to recover."
"No I'm fine now! I healed fast!" I say, doing a back flip.
"Hmm, I see. But you still need to stay here. At least to sleep."
"But why?" I ask. Xiao blushes.
"Because you need to sleep properly."
He leans closer to me, and I gasp in surprise. He looks at me, smiles, and then kisses my neck. When he pulls away, he has a slight smile on his face and then points to the mark on his neck. I left that. Shit.
"You recognize it? You should, you're the one who gave me it. And when I kissed you back, you complained about no mark. Now you have two."
Since when can he tease someone!? Did Hu Tao give him a lesson or something!? Aaaaaaaaahhhh!
"Why, thank you. Now we're matching~" Play it cool.
Xiao blushes. I don't think he knew he was teasing. But he is so adorable.
"Ahem! So anyway... can I do commissions now?" I need to earn more mora.
Xiao shakes his head.
"No. You still need one more day of rest. But feel free to walk about in Liyue."
"Oh, come on. Why?"
"Because you need to rest."
"Will you stay with me?"
"If that's what you want. Then I will accompany you." Xiao crosses his arms. Like he usually does. It's cute, really cute.

The sun's warmth dances on my skin as Xiao and I walk through Liyue, with his hand in mine.
"Oh! Look!" I gasp when I see a Rex Lapis figurine, I drag Xiao over to the stall.
"It's Morax!"I say somewhat softly.
"Yes, it is. Do you want it?" Xiao asks.
" No, I know the real thing... Hey! Do you want it?"
"Ah! Why would I want a Rex Lapis toy?"
"It's not a toy it's a portable statue."
"Still..."
Xiao turns away, his face red. I need to buy this for him. He turns to look at me. I'm already giving the merchant mora for the figurine. He holds out his hand as if trying to stop me, but it's too late. I hand him the figure, and he looks at it. A small smile creeps onto his face. He looks like he is reminiscing a fond memory.
"Thank you... for this... and for everything."
"What was that last part?"
"Nothing."
We walked around, enjoying ourselves and indulging in the occasional sweet treat. Though nothing is sweater than Xiao. Archons I want him to - No No No Oh, come on! Can't I go a day without a lustful thought!?

After a long day walking through Liyue, we go to one last stall. Ooh, this stall is selling wine! How would Xiao look drunk? *que a dirty mind.* ... I'm going to buy three bottles. "Three bottles, please."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes!"
After buying the wine, We go back to the Inn, Xiao, having teleported us, let's go of me.
"It's late. Do you want to do anything before bed?"
"Yes, in fact. Wanna drink with me?"
"Drink?" Xiao ponders... after making me wait for a minute, he takes a breath. "Okay, but don't overdo it." He finishes.
"Oh, come on, you know I wouldn't." I chuckle.

We sit down and pop open a bottle, and we pour it into glasses.
"Cheers!" Clink.
"So, is there a reason you wanted to drink?" I really wish he didn't ask that. I mean, what am I supposed to say? The truth!? Like: Oh, because I want to see you drunk, and maybe uhm. No, just say... something normal.
"Just because, what? I mean, do I need a reason? If so, I'm sorry I don't have one." I hope I don't sound rude.
"No reason needed." Xiao says before taking a sip of the wine. I follow, taking a sip, too. It tastes amazing! Not as much as Xiao would - damn it.
"How is it?" I ask.
"I wouldn't know... I'm not good with mortal drinks." I sigh. Then, I pour more wine into each of our glasses.
"Drink. Enjoy yourself. You've been working for so long, why not indulge in pleasure? Have fun! It's still your life."
"Heh... I guess you have a point, but..."
"But nothing. You deserve to have a life full of fun." I choke down what's in my glass. Xiao looks at me, the red in his cheeks prominent. I pour another glass, and Xiao finishes his glass. I pour him a glass as well.
"Thanks..."
"Hey! Wanna do a game?"
"Sure? What is it?"
"Okay, so here's how you play the game: one of us will ask a question, and before answering the question, we make an assumption. If we are right, then the other person will take a drink, but if we are wrong, then we take a drink." I explain enthusiastically.
"Okay. Then can I start?" Xiao asks.
"Of course!"
"Okay... Then, what did you mean when you said I was hot? Was my skin hot to the touch."
"Pft... That's not what I meant by that... when I say that, I mean, uhm," I chug what's in the wine bottle, then what's in my wine glass. Need more. I pop open yet another bottle and chug half of it. "When I call you hot. I am saying that you are attractive in a "sexual manner." Get it hotstuff?"
"Ah! Well, even if I was wrong, why did you drink?"
"Cause I couldn't handle how cute you were sober.~" Xiao's face reddens. Aw~, how cute. Hehe. Xiao drinks.
"My turn! Do you love me? It's a Yes, right?~"
"Ahem... well, you're right, yes... I love you." He's so cute when he's flustered.
"Okay then, if we're asking the big questions... what did you mean when you said you wanted me to be yours? Did you want to own my soul?"

"Hehe~ I wanted to have you all to myself." I Edge closer to Xiao. "So, that only when I call you come." I grabs the wine bottle that I drank from and put it in front of Xiao. Without saying a word, he downs the bottle, finishing it off. Is he drunk? Hehe~ I wanna see what he does.
Xiao wipes the wine from the edge of his mouth. He smiles and looks at me, a different kind of fire in his eyes. A lustful fire.
