I was in the kitchen preparing dinner while listening to my favourite song amarya by Ali jita when i feel a resounding slap land on my back,i don't have to think twice knowing well enough that it was no other than my elder brother Abdul,"for goodness sake ya Abdul what have i done to you for receiving this slap"i asked to which he rolled his eyes and replied"for disturbing us with this awful song,abeg reduce the volume"i just ignore him and continue singing along with the singer saying"aure yana da dadi badan mahassada ba"
"I can see you want to get married soon"he said
"Is it a crime to get married"i asked
He immediately replied saying"ok,i should inform dad that his princess is desperate to get married"i in return smack his arm playfully.
"That hurts you know"he said "awwwn stop being a baby"i replied not turning,"what are you making"he asked ignoring my reply "is your eyes closed or you are blind"i asked sarcastically and in return he smacked my head while i shout calling our mother"mom!mom"
And she come almost running to the kitchen thinking something happened to me"O Lord!What happen Zaru"she asked worriedly "mom it is Ya Abdul"i replied "for God sake,you are fully grown ups and you behaving like a kids"she added "you almost give me heart attack","but mom......"i started just to get shut by a single glare from her,she added"aren't you cooking" "i am" i replied,and turned to Ya Abdul saying"Abdul,didn't i asked you to go and fetch Aareef from school" she asked " y-yes"he stuttered "then what are you doing here"sh asked
"Act-actually I came here t-to,yes to drank water"he lied "oya get out"she said before leaving the kitchen
And he too walk out not before smacking me once again.
