The next day, Powder walked to school where there are cop cars everywhere and students being interviewed. Maddy was getting interviewed while crying. Confused, he looked up to see ravens watching over everyone from the school roofs, and one even shocking Powder when it landed right beside him.
Tie came and wrapped an arm around Powder, looking quite happy and... different? His hair was a lot darker, his teeth white and... perfect? Since when did his bunny teeth fix itself? His green eyes are the same, but he has no discoloration, unlike his previous dark under eyes. The slight acne he had disappeared and his jaw was sharper, his skin a bit brighter and pale. His eyebrows had slits now and he was wearing sunglasses and a black leather jacket.
"Guess what the world got rid of today?" He asks.
Powder looks towards a crying Maddy, "What's going on—"
"Get rid of the birds, they're ruining the crime scene!" Police yells.
"What, why—OH MY GOD!"Only then did he notice the ravens flying towards the flagpole, and Powder had to hide against Tie's body because of the terrifying corpse the birds were feeding on, impaled on the flagpole. Four of them; half-eaten, face intact.
Eric Sandoval, Darren Fernandez, Christian Dunst, and Marcus Santiago's body was found impaled on the flag poles. Powder saw how the hungry ravens were pulling out the intestines so he ran away and puked his entire breakfast in a bush.
Tie was laughing at him while casually rubbing onto the sick boy's back. "Don't feel bad, Powder. They weren't good guys. Especially Marcus."
"Good guys—they're impaled, Tie! It's horrifying! Whoever did this to them is worse than Marcus!"
Tie scoffed, "You don't know anything, Powder. Don't cry for them, are you nuts?"
Powder shakes his head at Tie. Five different agencies was trying to clean up and two local news documenting. Maddy was seen crying by the bench as the Principal announced classes would be suspended for the week. While everyone was going home in complete shock, Powder approached her with a bottle of water.
"Are you okay, Maddy? You've been harassed so much by investigators."
"Powder...?" she still looks devastated. Still gorgeous, but puffy and miserable. "It's horrible... They thought I had a motive because he was my ex. Do I look like I could've done that to four boys? I can't even believe I'm crying because of Marcus. I may have hated him but I... didn't want him and his friends dead."
"Same with me," Powder says, rubbing her shoulder softly. "They hurt me a lot, but they don't deserve to die like that. You don't deserve to be accused, either."
Maddy starts to cry again, and she leans onto Powder's shoulder. "My friends think I either hired someone, or did it myself."
"You don't deserve all this, Maddy. Not Marcus, not the accusations... if your friends are not willing to be with you, then I'm here for you. Tie and I can be your friends."
"Powder... you're the sweetest," she sobs against his shoulder. Maddy appreciates him for comforting her, to which Powder hugs her tight. She sniffs her tears back and smiles at him, "I'm sorry for wetting your shirt. I'll buy you lunch in the cafe..."
"Hehe, sure! I can't say no to food... let's eat together. If it makes you feel better." Powder was seeing her 'friends' give them both dirty looks. Powder makes sure Maddy doesn't see them judging by blocking her view. "I won't leave you alone at this time."
Valentine, who was watching them from a distance, was not happy. A raven hopped near his shoes and pecked at the ground, even hopping onto his shoes. It doesn't seem to mind the shoes it's pecking on.
