Chapter 6- A Shattered Trust: Rita Ann

Aadvika stood frozen in the living hall of the cabin, her heart racing as she saw the gun that Jack Grayson had placed before her. The darkness outside seemed to press in on her, and she could feel her breaths coming in short, fearful gasps. 

Nellie, Rita, and Westley, her friends since high school, watched her with a mix of fear and uncertainty. It was as if they were afraid to move or say anything that could potentially trigger the events that had led to their haunting past. The betrayal by Draven Leo that had shattered their trust and set this sinister game in motion - had left them all scarred and wounded. 

As they observed her standing there, a sense of unease began to grip them. It was as if the memories of the past were haunting them, and they were powerless to stop it. They couldn't shake off the feeling that they were on the verge of being trapped in a tangled web of deception and falsehoods once more. 

Jack Grayson leaned back against the wall, a sly smile on his face, "Who deserves to live, Aadvika? Who will you spare, and who will face the consequences of their past actions?"

Aadvika's eyes darted between her friends, her heart heavy with the weight of the decision that lay before her, "I... I can't do this," she whispered, her voice barely audible over the crackling fire.

Rita stepped forward, her voice trembling, "Aadvika, we have to think this through. We can't let Grayson dictate our fate."

Nellie nodded, her eyes fierce with determination, "We have each other's backs, Aadvika. Together, we can get through this."

Westley, the quietest of the group, spoke up softly, "Aadvika, remember who we are. We are not the mistakes of our past. We deserve a chance at redemption."

The rest of the masked strangers who came in with Jack Grayson in the living hall with Aadvika's friends were also impatient with Aadvika's response but Jack stood calm and steady as usual. He looked up at her and held her shoulders tightly. He squeezed her shoulders and massaged them gently to give her more strength to decide who to choose for the dare-devil game that they were playing that night. 

Aadvika's heart was pounding with fear as she faced the daunting decision ahead. She knew that regardless of her choice, her friends would be murdered one by one that very night. The darkness of the night enveloped her, and the eerie silence of the cabin was terrifying. Her mind played tricks on her, making her feel even more scared and alone.

The wind howled like a pack of wolves, its icy breath penetrating every inch of the cabin. Aadvika's heart raced and her palms became slick with sweat she knew she had to make a choice, but the fear had taken hold of her, leaving her paralyzed.

As she glanced apologetically at Rita and gestured towards her, Rita's eyes widened in shock. Rita began writhing in her chair, her movements growing more frantic as if she were trying to free herself from some unseen terror. Rita stood frozen in fear, her heart pounding in her chest like a desperate plea for escape. The echo of the gun clicking behind her was deafening, sending shivers down her spine as an overwhelming sense of dread enveloped her.

In the dim light of the room, Rita could only make out the outline of Jack, who stood before her. Despite the lack of light, his presence felt threatening and foreboding. A slight smirk played across his face, sending shivers down Rita's spine and making her uneasy about what he might do or say next. 

His cold eyes bore into hers with a menacing glint as he taunted, "Are you ready?"

Rita's mind raced, trying to make sense of the situation. She knew she was in danger, but she couldn't understand what had led her to this moment. She remembered Aadvika, her friend, and a wave of guilt washed over her. What had she done that had brought anger upon her from Jack?
