I had to take several deep breaths, thinking I was going to faint. My chest hurt intensely, but I couldn't control it. I found it difficult to stand while contemplating the magnitude of the wound in my stomach.
My eyes filled with tears almost instantly, letting out a sigh as I tried to touch the wound with a trembling hand, and let out a moan of pain.
That beast in human form now stood in front of me and smiled at me with an air of victory. I took a step back as he tried to approach.
When I looked back, I realized that there was only an icy, noisy lake. I watched the alpha again, he was close enough to me to attack me. I closed my eyes, waiting for the worst but, but it never came.
Until I felt the water envelop my whole body in a second as I had the sensation of crystals embedding hard in my stomach and chest.
I could only hear the roar of someone in the distance, and after that everything went dark.
