The Breakup

I decided this day that me and Tara should break up, I have the feeling that she's the right person just wrong time. I will always love her but I don't deserve all the effort she's putting into this relationship. I hate this but I need to do it, I slowly lift my keys to the apartment we share. "Hey babe, did you just come back from Colbys house?" Tara says in a calm tone. "Yeah we just played some video games for a little, I need to talk to you about something" I say quietly. "I actually wanted to tell you something aswell" Tara says fidgeting with the necklace I bought her. "You can go first" Tara speaks. "Ok, thank you, so technically I think we should break up, I just feel like I'm not putting any effort in the relationship as much as you are, I will always love you but I think this is good for both of us, I believe you were the right person just wrong time. I wish we would've met at this age instead of 18 and 20" I say tearing up, she starts crying and nods, I gave her a puzzled face as she says, "I was gonna say the same thing" She lightly giggles to herself. I smile and scooch over to give her a hug. She hugs me back tightly and gives me a kiss on the cheek. "Thank you for being honest Jake" she whispered. I got up to leave saying "I'm gonna spend the night at colbys I'll be back in the morning to get my stuff"
