Soon they arrived at the bake shop and Nim's mother welcomed the man and his daughter. "I know this is far from what you where expecting but it'll work for now I'm hoping" she said sheepishly. The man kindly said "I'm sure me and my daughter will love staying here, and once again thank you so much". Nim's mother smiled "don't mention it".
After she showed them where they'd be staying she mentioned "come to think of it I never got your names". The man laughed "I'm Takumi and this is my daughter Kiku..might I ask what yours is?" Nim's mother nodded and laughed slightly "I'm Kasumi and somewhere around here is my daughter Nim...she looks to be about kiku's age." Takumi smiled and looked at Kiku "haha now you can have someone to play with."
Nim quietly came downstairs as she heard unfamiliar voices. When she got to the bottom step Kiku jumped and waved "Hi I'm Kiku! You must be Nim!" Nim ran to her mother and asked "m-mommy..who are they?" Kasumi smiled and said to her "this is Takumi and his daughter Kiku, they will be staying with us until further notice." Nim looked at the strange man and his daughter and ran back upstairs. Kasumi said sheepishly "sorry about that..she's not used to new people." A door slammed upstairs and everything was quiet for a moment. Kasumi looked at Kiku worried "sweetheart why don't you go up and see what's wrong with Nim..." Kiku nodded and went up to Nim's room. Kasumi offered Takumi a seat and brought out a cup of tea and some scones then all of a sudden they heard a smash and someone fall...
