Land of Little Big Dreams Part 4: Young Kingdom

We retreated back to the abandoned Kingdom. "Escaped again..." Strawberry Cookie muttered in disappointment, cuddling closer to her hoodie. "Ahem... please?" Wizard Cookie said, gesturing to the side, where the young Cookie was.

That's when the young Cookie dramatically stepped on a log and a tree stump, holding his small scepter in the air. "O-ho! Haha! Greetings, my faithful and- VERY handsome and VERY cute Cookies! It's so wonderful to meet you! I am Custard Cookie the Third! 'The Third' by the way being extremely important, and super-cool. IT IS NOT NOBLE? IT'S BECAUSE I'M NOBLE! Yup, yours truly is from a long, long line of amazingly NOTABLE NOBLES. I'm searching for land to build my future Kingdom on! These lands look positively, possibly perfect! And as YOUR King, I will rule JUST and FAIR- Don't forget I'm 'The Third', k? It's very important!" Custard Cookie introduced.

During his whole speech, I just want to hold onto him and never let go, and adopt him because of how adorable he is.

"Wow! At last, we'll have ourselves a real KING!" Gingerbrave cheered. "Er- what? But- I can't believe what you're saying...!?" Wizard Cookie said, flabbergasted. "Aw, Wizard Cookie... He can't handle the good news! What a sweetheart." Strawberry Cookie cooed. "No, no, no!!! It's just- I'm-" "HUNGRY. That's it. Yeah. Wizard Cookie must be very hungry after that battle." I quickly interrupted. "Thanks for the save..." He whispered.

"That's right... We haven't eaten since the whole witch thing!... That was pretty bad." Strawberry Cookie said. "I'll bet. I haven't eaten anything since I ended up in this crazy place." I replied.

"Have a Star Jelly, good sir and ma'am! Not only sweet, but also highly nutritious! Doo-ba-dup!" Sugar Gnome-1 said, passing us this Star Jelly. Curious, I picked up one and tossed it into my mouth. My eyes widened in shock, the flavors of this piece of Star Jelly exploded in my mouth, tasting like it was f/c (Favorite Candy) and it was my first time trying in years. I started to scarf it all down, devouring half of it, and giving the other half to Taffeta, who happily gobbled it up.

"Feelin' ship-shape there, ol' Pointy Hat? Jelly Hair?" Chili Pepper Cookie asked, mocking us with those nicknames. Yes, on the way back, I found out her name. "They were so delicious! I would like to live off of them please." I jokingly requested, Taffeta barking in agreement. "Amazing! I'm reborn! Classy and sassy as ever! HAH! The power to fight ignorance and pioneer this wacky world, wielding only my uncanny abilities of science and magic– OH YES, IT'S ROARING WITHIN ME! I AM WIZARD COOKIE!" Wizard Cookie laughed. "Okay, calm down there, bud." I said, placing my hand on his shoulder.

"Gee, it must not be easy to be Wizard Cookie." Strawberry Cookie said. "Awesome sauce! I want a Star Jelly, too!" Gingerbrave said.

"Ah, what a great time to be a Sugar Gnome! Once again, this place is hustling and bustling with Cookies' merry laughs!" Sugar Gnome-3 said. "Yeah, I still think you should get someone to fix you up there, little guy." I said, obviously talking about his quarter melted face.

"Oh, no! Why are you melting again?" Strawberry Cookie asked, sighing. "It's that ol' delicate sugar, my friend! Any teeny-tiny bit of emotion and– WE MELT!" Sugar Gnome-3 informed. "Now rejoice, for today shall NEVER be forgotten! Together we shall build a glorious Kingdom! Datta-doo!" Sugar Gnome-1 cheered.

"What'dja say your name was again, kid? Custard Cookie? *Scoff* You said you wanna be our King?" Chili Pepper Cookie questioned, crossing her arms over her chest. "It's Custard Cookie the Third, if you please? Third of this name, thank you very much!" Custard Cookie corrected. "Riiiiight... So, Mr. 'Third of This Name'– How EXACTLY you gonna build your so-called Kingdom, kiddo? A real King works hard for the good of his subjects, y'know?" Chili Pepper Cookie asked.
