The next day I had just finished packing up when I heard shuffling coming from down stairs, " Kat! don't make me come up there, get down here right this minute!" my mother shouted in her most intimidating voice. I stumbled down the stairs taking them two at a time, trying to get down as quickly as possible before her anger escalated. As I appeared I plastered my best smile, it was sweet enough to ease her irritation. She scowled and began speaking" Are you ready? You do know that the plane leaves in two hours." Sensing how anxious she truly was about my trip I nodded reassuringly, a sign to make her understand that I was indeed finished packing all my stuff. I ran back into my room and brought my bags down , I was really hoping I had packed enough clothes to sustain me over my prolonged stay. The time seemed to pass by quickly and soon enough we were headed to the airport.

" I'm going to miss you so much." I cried looking at both my parents and at my brother and my closest friend, Evangeline. They all forced smiles onto their faces, trying to make me feel better, they were trying to make themselves seem stronger but I could tell how sad they truly where about my departure.
" Don't forget about the little people, we are always here for you." Eve said smiley broadly at me.My brother slightly punched me " I'm going to miss you kiddo. " at this point I was holding back the flood gates before they even attempted to start.
My flight was called out, I glance at them one last time and begin to walk towards my gate.
Walking onto the plane I look around desperately for my seat number ,32B. My eyes land on the seat and I soon  find myself seated next to a middle aged woman. She smiled showing off her pearly whites "Hi are you travelling alone?" She questioned with concern evident in her voice. " Yes, I'm moving to a boarding school down there and my parents can't come along." I smiled proudly slightly hoping to have impressed her by my independence . We spoke a lot,we barely even noticed as the time passed by. " We would like to inform you that we will be landing in sunny California in precisely ten minutes." The air hostess spoke through the intercom, I couldn't help the excitement and anxiousness that built-up. "I'm finally here" ,I whispered to myself. The lovely lady grinned down at me " Who are you meeting with?" genuine worry dripped from her voice. " Well my aunt and uncle should be fetching me, thanks for the concern it's really appreciated." She winked and then turned her attention to the window, we where starting to descend.
Stumbling out and almost tripping I fixed myself up, I guess not much has changed apart from my looks;I'm still the old clumsy me I've always been.

Getting my bags gathered in record time I begin to walk through the sliding doors; focusing on finding my aunt. I gaze around hoping to find her sweet smile staring back at me. Instead my eyes fall on my smiling cousin, she runs up to assist me with my bags "Kat look at how much you've grown, you look so beautiful." Her straight polished whites  surfaced as she grinned at me taking in my new appearence, her smile reached her pale blue eyes making them glow like the light reflected on the pools surface ."Look at how much you've grown too Stella, you look amazing. " I laughed back as I noticed how much she truly had changed, her pale brown hair had grown to just below her shoulder and her skin had gotten a deep golden glow ,we where practically the same age, apart from the six month difference that separated us; making her slightly older. She guided me over to her parents. We greeted each other and then headed out into the car park, as soon as we reached the white Range Rover with tinted windows we slowed to a halt and loaded the bags into the back of the car. On the long drive back to their house Stella thought it was the right time to inform me about the new school I would be attending , as she had been attending it for quite some time. I listened intently trying to absorb as much information as possible, but it became an overload and I couldn't help but be distracted by the wonderful scenery outside.
After some time we approached a large bronzed gate that seemed to be leading into multiple secluded houses. All of them where huge,no that's definitely an understatement they where massive. They all oozed with wealth from the bottom to the top. Sometimes I forgot how much money my aunts actually has.As we pulled up to a large driveway of a rather large mansion-like building I notice how the house is even bigger than I had anticipated, the structure is magnificent the pale grey they had decided to use made it look even more extravagant, the house was surrounded by multiple windows that were strategically  place in order to let natural light come through from all angles. There is a well kept garden surrounding the house and right at the bottom  it stretches out to reveal an infinity edge pool.My eyes grow in astonishment as I begin loading my bags around the foyer of the house, inside the house is even more beautiful that on the outside. The walls are painted an earthy brown colour while the ceiling is painted a cream white, these colours complimented each other very well making the rooms seem larger in size, as if the house couldn't get any bigger than it already was. Walking further into the house I find a large kitchen that is equipped with the latest technology from the fridge to the oven to the rest of the appliances that take up the spaces all over the counter, in another room connected to it l found a dinning room that seems to fit at least fifteen guests maybe even more. I had never seen such a marvellous and exclusive looking home in my life, this house was probably dare I say 'my dream house'.
We headed upstairs to where some of the rooms where situated, I would be using the room right next door to Stella, just before we headed for the boarding school in a weeks time.Placing my bag down I marvelled at how beautiful the room truly was.All the walls were painted white except for the very last wall which was painted a light turquoise colour which left a tranquil atmosphere all around. In the middle lay a giant queen sized bed which was covered in blue and white the colour scheme still matching the theme of the room.
"I think I am going to like it here." I whispered to myself rather loudly.
