✦ SIXTEEN

I awoke to the sound of my bedroom door being swung open.

"KAT GET UP! IF YOU DONT COME DOWNSTAIRS AND EAT THE LAST PANCAKES, HARRY'S GONNA EAT THEM." Simon shouted as he clapped his hands, jumping on me as I tried to wake up.

"Simon. If you don't get off me right now, I'm gonna kill you." I grunted as I tried to push him over to the other side of the bed. He still stayed led on top of me so I kicked him in the stomach which made him roll over in pain. I giggled as I finally began to wake up a bit more. I looked over to my door to see JJ there chuckling with his arms crossed. He walked over to my cupboard and opened it, he paused then turned to me. I looked at him with confusion.

"You still haven't packed? Kat we're leaving tomorrow." That made Simon's ears perk up.

"I can do it tonight?" I suggested. JJ raised his eyebrow at me before pulling out my suitcase and putting it by my desk.

"Come have your pancakes then me and Simon will help you pack, alright?" JJ said before leaving.

"I DIDN'T AGREE TO THIS?" Simon shouted.

"SUCK IT UP." JJ shouted back.

I giggled while getting out of bed to change into something other than my pyjamas. I pulled out a sidemen hoodie and some leggings and went into my bathroom to change. Simon was still led on my bed waiting for me to be ready so we can go downstairs.

We walked into the kitchen to see everyone but JJ talking. I guess he's in his room.

"Oh hey Kat! What's....up?" Harry saw me and asked suspiciously. He looked extremely guilty for something and I think I knew what.

"HARRY YOU ATE MY PANCAKE!?! YOU MOTHER FUCKER!?!" He looked terrified before jumping out his seat and running upstairs, probably to his room. I was about to chase him but a pair of arms wrapped around me to stop me moving. I looked down and I knew they belonged to Tobi. We were stood outside the kitchen door, me facing the stairs with him behind me.

"He's not worth chasing, Kay. I can make you something else if you like?" He whispered in my ear, sending chills down my spine. I assumed no one was looking because he got very close to me. I turned around and put my head on his chest, his arms still around me.

"I'm not that hungry, I was just being mad for jokes." I chuckled.

"Well you gotta eat. How about I make you a coffee and a slice of marmite on toast? I know it's your favourite." He offered. I nodded and thanked him. He left the hug to go make my breakfast so I was just stood outside of the kitchen, missing his touch.

I followed him back into the kitchen after having a moment to shake the goosebumps off. I sat next to Josh who was still eating his pancakes. We are both similar because we're both slow eaters, the others mock us all the time for it.

"Kat what was that?" Josh whispered, clearly wanting no one to listen in on our conversation.

"What was what?" I whispered back.

"You and Tobi? In the Hallway? I saw all that yknow. I didn't hear anything but I saw you guys hugging. What's going on between-" he was cut off by Tobi bringing my coffee and toast over.

"Thank you Tobes, I really appreciate it." I smiled at him before I started eating. It was just me and Josh in the kitchen now. Everyone had gone to do their own thing.
I turned to Josh after taking a sip of my coffee.

"Josh there is nothing between me and Tobi. He was making sure I didn't go and kill Harry." I assured him.

"Alright, I believe you. You'd tell me if there was though, right?" My eyes softened, looking down at my hands. I forced myself to bring myself back and keep my eye contact with him.

"I would." I mumbled before getting up to clean my plate. I rushed upstairs to my room so I didn't have to continue that conversation with Josh. I hated that I lied to him, I'm just not ready to tell anyone yet.

I'm guessing someone heard me run up because I had a knock on my door a few seconds later. I got up and opened the door to see Simon there. He looked kinda tense.

"Hey Simon, are you here cause JJ told you to help me?" I laughed before sitting on my bed. I was a bit confused cause he just stayed stood by my door, not really moving. "Talking of JJ, where is he? I haven't seen him since you both woke me up." He sighed before closing the door and sitting next to me on my bed.

"Simon what's wrong? You're scaring me."

"Have you checked your phone this morning?" He asked, finally making some sort of eye contact with me.

"Uh no, I left it to charge, why?" I replied picking up my phone of my bedside table.

"Check your twitter dms." I did as he said and saw a message from someone I hadn't thought about in a long time. Ryan. I looked back at Simon before clicking on the dm.

RyanSpicer- I saw you in that among us video, Katelyn. I've already messaged your beloved "ksi". I will find you even if it's the last thing I do. Hope you missed me ;)

I couldn't believe it. I had finally gotten to a place where I didn't have to think about him 24/7, yet he still finds a way to haunt me.

"H-hes still out there, Simon." I stuttered, dropping my phone. My hands started to shake violently.

"He's not gonna touch you, Kat. You know we won't let anything happen to you." He wrapped his arms around me as I sobbed uncontrollably into him.

"He's gonna k-kill me. I should never have r-ran away. He's gonna find me. Simon I can't g-go back. P-please don't let him take me back." I couldn't breathe. It was getting harder and harder. I should never have come here.

"Kat I promise you, nothing is gonna happen. You're staying with us, he's not gonna take you back. You've got to take a deep breath though. Please."

I focused on his voice and breathed in and out. I can trust the boys, they won't let Ryan get me. My breathing slowly became regular again but my hands would not stop shaking.
I stopped crying after a while. I didn't even notice that Simon was stroking my back, he always knows exactly what to do when I have a panic attack.

"Simon? Could I have some water please?"

"Of course, I'll be back in a second." He quickly left so I was alone. I couldn't believe Ryan would do this. It's been months. This has just brought back all the memories of him.

"Hey I'm back, I brought JJ with me too so he could show you the message he got." Simon came in with JJ trailing behind him. Simon passed me the glass of water which I drank alot of.

"Kat you doing alright? I know this can't be easy but I can assure you, none of us will let this bastard lay a finger on you." JJ said as he sat next to me, Simon on the other side of me.

"I'll be fine, thank you Jide. What did he say to you?" I asked as I put my head on JJ's shoulder.

"Yknow what? It's irrelevant. Please don't dwell on the message, I can see how happy you are here and I'd hate it if he ruined that for you. Again. But let's take your mind off it, we still have to help you pack!" He insisted as he helped me up.

I put on some of my music, we danced and sung along as we packed. It definitely took my mind off Ryan. After a while, we had packed everything, ready to leave tomorrow.

I'm glad we would be out of the country for a few weeks, I should be able to forget Ryan and let myself live a little.
