How many years has it been?10 years? Yes 10 years. Finally after all those awful years I'm finally free. Nobody is here to order me around .
My first step into Australia and I already feel the victory of myself. I took a deep breath and started walking to the cab . The last 10 years were awful but now I'm ready to leave everything behind and start a new life . Maybe also new me ? We will see about that later.
" Hey you are noah right ? " A cab driver came up to me already holding a banner with my name on it .
" Yes . Are you mr. Miles? my driver? "
" Yes. This way please . " He said that and started walking to the car .
I didn't say anything else and started following him .
While sitting in the car my mind started thinking about things that i didn't really plan on thinking about.
What will people think of my scar? Will people accept me? Can I fit in a new place? Will I be able to make new friends after all these years ?
There's a lot more questions going on in my head. But I'm fully trying to avoid all these .
Me and my awful thinking. I thought I just sat in the car and the driver is already saying that we are here . I was so deep in my thoughts that I didn't notice we were already here .
I stepped out of the cab to find myself in front of a typical old looking building. I took a deep breath and tightened my grip in my luggage and started walking towards the entrance.
" Who are you ? " Someone shouted roughly at me . That shout honestly scared the shit out of me .
I was still surprised and replied " um... I'm the new tenant. Miss haily reserved a room for me I think?..."
The security guard looked at me head to toe . I think he processed something for a moment and said ,
" oh I see you are the boy that miss haily told me about, go in your room is on the 3rd floor 2nd door in the left ".
The security guard just said that and left without saying another word .
I gripped my bag and started walking towards the elevator. As I entered the elevator my phone rang scaring me a little. I reached out for my phone and saw that miss Hailey was calling. I picked up her and the first thing I heard was loud music in back then her talking,
" Hey NOAH ! How is it going there ?" She said half screaming.
"I arrived like an hour ago right now I'm in the elevator going to my room that you prepared"
" Ok settle in and tell me how you feel about the room "
"Okay mam "
" Also don't hesitate to ask me for something if you need anything okay?" She said with a little laugh in the end .
" Also Noah I admitted you into a new school. It's a very good school. It starts next Monday. I will send you the details letter" she said in one breath .
"Ok and als- " I got cut of in the middle of my sentence.
" Okay I have to go now bye " she just said that and cutted the call.
I didn't realize I already arrived at the 3rd floof as I was busy talking with her .
