Chapter 13 - The Confrontation

"Hey, there they are! Welcome back man," Blaise welcomed us both as they both did their handshake together, then Eleanor came down to the common area with a big smile on her face,

"Y/n! Oh, my goodness, I missed you, how are you?" she asked while hugging me, she sounded so happy that I was back which made me happy too knowing that at least one of my friends was glad that I was around,

"Oh, same old, same old. Just a bit tired after the long train ride, how are you, E?"

"Meh, I'm doing quite okay, we all are," she shrugged, I was looking around and realised that Pansy hadn't come down to greet Draco,

"So, where is Pansy?" I asked Eleanor, she turned around almost as if to check the surroundings, then she turned back to face me again and shushed me,

"She's been trying hard to get this right," she whispered,

"Get what right?" I asked her again, but before she could reply, Pansy walked down with a balloon that read 'Welcome Back Draco!' although it looked like she wrote Draco's name on it,

"That," Eleanor points her index finger at Pansy's whole show, I chuckled seeing her like that, but I'd give it to her for trying to be romantic,

"Hey, thank you. I, uh, like the balloon," Draco said awkwardly, he bent down a little so Pansy could give a peck on his cheek which he was still showing awkwardness through his smile and body posture,

"You too y/n. Welcome back, sorry I didn't get a chance to get you anything," she said with a smile, I shook it off and just let her be,

"No, that's fine. I think it's cool that you did all this for Draco, so romantic," I replied with sarcasm to which she did not pick up,

We all sat there in the common area for a moment catching up on some things, especially on the school work that we missed. Still, the girls – well, just Eleanor, kept reassuring me that I'd do fine and that I wouldn't have so much to worry about because most of the things they learnt while we were gone, were about things that I had already known. So, I was feeling a bit relieved but the stress over it started to overcome me,

"I don't know about doing it well, I mean, what if I have already forgotten about it? ugh, the stress,"

"Don't worry, you'll do great. Trust me. But what I do want to know is how was the party and the stay?" Eleanor asked me with anticipation, she moved in closer towards me,

"It was fun, like usual the Malfoys are so welcoming. His mom liked the gift, by the way." I said with a slightly excited tone.

"Oh, that's amazing! And, how is your uh, you know," she teased me as she raised her eyebrows,

"Shut up." I rolled my eyes at her and chuckled at her mischievousness,

"It was fine, I spent my last night in her room, if you want to know," I continued, she was so excited that she let out a squeal then the boys were as curious as ever decided to join in the conversation,

"What happened? Let us in on the dirt, go on E.,"

"You boys, go away," I dismissed them, while Eleanor repeatedly apologised for being too loud. Then they all walked away and hung around the fireplace chatting with Draco.

"To be honest, it was nothing. I just spent some time with her before coming back here. We needed that comfort so yeah,"

"Well, that's nice. Do you need help unpacking?" she asked me to which I answered by shaking my head, no.

"Nah, it's fine, I'll just flick my wand and let it unpack itself. But I am going to my room now, I just need to lie down for a moment,"

"Sure, I'll be down here with the rest of the gang," I smiled at her then I went to my room and sat on the bed thinking about Bella. It has been a few minutes, maybe even an hour since we arrived at Hogwarts, but I'm already missing her like crazy.
