Chapter 1: "The Mysterious Invitation"
In the year 1150 there was a town called Emberfall this town represents the superiority of the Knights of the Altar in the 12th century, A barrel maker Thomas Cooper was the son of Albert and Maria Cooper they lived almost outside the town due to the law of the King Henry II, Thomas was very amazed at the people inside the church serving the Lord our Savior and suddenly he thought what if he became one of the servants of the church who suddenly rushed to tell his parents about what he thought.
"Mother! Mother! he said to his mother."
His mother was suprised because Thomas suddenly called her and said. "What is it Thomas?"
Thomas: Mother, I want to join in being a servant of the church.
Thoma's mother was a little shocked because of what her son said and she responded.
Maria: "sigh" Thomas you're improving your kindness too much in the world, maybe the people around you will abuse that.
She stared at Thomas.
Thomas: But mother, I really want to be a servant of the church like William.
(William Smith the son of George and Martha Smith lived near Thomas, the best friend of Thomas, a year older than him and the brother-in-arms of Thomas).
Maria: All right, all right, I'll give you five silver to buy something for us to eat later, here's five silver and go to the church and go with William so the thieves won't trip you up in the Plaza.
Thomas: Thank you mother.
He hugged his mother because of joy and excitement and said goodbye. As he walked the way to William's house, he heard faint voices entering his ears. The voices said "You are destined in the prophecy to take the Sacred Flame from the mountain of Hephaustus". Thomas was stunned where he was standing and he couldn't move because of the voices that insisted on entering his ears even though he was covering them with his hands, while Thoma stiffened where he was standing, he suddenly saw black smoke coming towards him.
"Why can't I move then what the hell is that black smoke and why is it coming near me! Move Thomas if you don't want to get hurt! he said to himself."
There are now faint voices calling him Thomas! Thomas! And this person slapped him he suddenly came back to himseld because of this and then he noticed that it was William who slapped him to wake him up to the illusion given by the black smoke.
William: Thomas what's going on with you? Why are you just standing there in the middle of the road and staring at the wind?
Thomas: I don't really understand the events because they happened so quickly in front of my eyes and there were my voices entering my ears about the mountain of He-Hephaustus? I don't really remember anymore William.
William just laughed at what Thomas told him and replied.
William: "loud sigh" That's what I'm saying, because of what you're reading is like a daydream. And he laughed loudly again.
Thomas: Be quiet there and since you are here let's leave and go to the square so that I can buy something for us to eat for dinner and join in being a servant of the church.
William: Are you serious about that? Maybe your soul will retreat if you experience what we experienced in training and the mysteries we feel in the church?
Thomas:
