It'd been days since the incident on the phone had happened and Karina was busy with her cases which left Winter like a lost pup seeking for it's owner's affection

"She's in the courthouse again today ma'am" The receptionist said and Winter sighed in dismay, she's been visiting Karina's law firm but she always couldn't catch her, it was either she was in the courthouse or she was out talking to clients

"Win" Giselle called and Winter immediately turned to her

"Oh... Hey" Winter replied awkwardly, they still haven't gotten to talk after their little quarrel which made it awkward since the only time they got to speak to each other was only filled with spite

"Here for Karina again?" Giselle asked and Winter nods, she shows the bag she was carrying and Giselle tilts her head, curious as to what was inside

"I prepared lunch but she's in the courthouse again" Winter said and Giselle chuckles

"I'm glad you're putting quite the effort to win her back... I was really rooting for you guys back then... I just didn't have the heart to look at you without anger when I saw Karina during those days..." Giselle explained and Winter sighs

"Gi— Oh? Miss Suitor is here" Jungkook said as he came out of his office

"This is Jungkook oppa... The guy you got jealous of before" Giselle introduces and Winter's face reddened at the sudden mention of an old memory and Jungkook became amused at the news

"You got jealous of me? Wow, I feel quite proud" Jungkook jokes and Giselle laughs as Winter lowered her head in embarrassment

"Karina always bragged about you... I thought maybe she started getting interested... But she only viewed you as a sunbae and an older brother" Winter said and Jungkook smiled before putting his arm around Winter's shoulder's, startling the girl

"Say... You don't happen to have any work today... Do you?"

Tiring... Was the only thing that Karina could say of her work, she'd been busying herself with work lately because it'll pile up more if she doesn't quickly brush through them, she had her siblings worried for her health but she always assured that she was alright. She could also only give Winter short messages because she's too busy working through the papers in her desk, she felt bad for it of course

"Giselle can you—" Karina stops as she opens the door only to find Giselle's office empty, she furrows her eyebrows before going to Jungkook's office only to see that it was also empty

"Miss Bang? Have you seen Giselle and Jungkook oppa?" Karina asked and the lady thought for a moment before recalling something during lunch

"Oh! They went out with a girl earlier... They said they'll be back in a few minutes" The older lady replied and Karina smiles and thanks her, she was about to go into her office when she noticed Giselle and Jungkook outside, laughing about something... And then her eyes caught something... That short haired girl...

Karina quickly walks outside and pulls the girl's arm, she turns to find Karina's face which shocked both of them

"What are you doing with Giselle and Jungkook oppa, Winter?" Karina asked and Winter looked at her companions

"Relax we just took her to the cafe right there" Jungkook replied and pointed at the cafe... Where the two girls had confessed their feelings for each other and tried again

"She was here since lunch, she brought you a packed lunch but you were still at the courthouse so we decided to eat what she had and treated her in the cafe" Giselle said this time and Karina squints at her

"You ate what she made?" Karina asked and Winter gulped, she shakes her head to Giselle and the girl immediately shutted her mouth, Jungkook was about to reply but Giselle was quick enough to silence him by putting her hand on his mouth and dragging him inside their building

"Sorry... They insisted to eat it... They said they had to make sure I didn't put anything in it" Winter said and Karina immediately grimaces, she knows her friends were merely teasing Winter

"It's fine... Just... Don't follow those two around aimlessly, they're a mess" Karina says and Winter nods her head, fiddling with the hem of her shirt

"Do you not have work today? I thought... Your sister was getting you a job?" Karina asked and Winter looked up at her

"Well the establishment hasn't been done yet, she said it'll start today so I can quickly get to work... I have nothing to do at the headquarters either" Winter replied and Karina sighed

"Come inside, let's stay in my office and wait for me, okay? I'll make up for the time that we couldn't meet and talk" Karina says and Winter smiles, nodding her head as she lets herself get dragged by Karina inside. Of course eyes immediately started darting towards them as they entered and Winter catches Giselle and Jungkook giving her a thumbs up

"Sit down, I'll just fix the mess" Karina says and Winter sits on the free chair, she watched as Karina compiled the papers on her desk yet her eyes land on something much more intriguing

"The flower..." Winter says and Karina halts, she looks at her desk and sees the flower that Winter had previously sent to make up with her... She had putted it in a small vase and constantly took care of it after that

"Oh... I kept it... It reminds me of you" Karina says and Winter coughs from her words, Karina's eyes widened and she quickly grabs a cup and rushes to get water, handing it over to Winter who immediately drinks it

"Are you okay? Did you choke on air?" Karina asked and Winter gulps her water down before releasing a sigh, she turns to Karina who was eyeing her with a worried expression

"I'm fine... Just got flustered by your words" Winter confessed and Karina chuckles

"Is it weird?" Karina asked and Winter shakes her head
.

"No... I quite like it" Winter replied and now it was Karina's turn to be flustered, she feels her ears burning up and she immediately turns back to her table to clean the rest of her mess, not uttering another word

"Anything interesting happened during your trial?" Winter asked, trying to divert the topic

"No not really, just the same old procedure... It's not too bad" Karina replies and sits down, she tugs her tie to loosen up and breathes a sigh of relief as she leaned against her chair and raising her head to clear her thoughts while Winter just watched, gulping at her own saliva as her eyes land straight to the girl's neck

"Haa..." Karina breathes out and Winter reddens, darting her eyes away as she found the sound quite... The spectacle

"Are you alright Winter?" Karina asked as she noticed the girl's weird movements, looking anywhere but her and Karina stands up to walk towards her, Winter flinches in place as Karina leans down to get on the same eye level as her before planting her hand on Winter's forehead, checking her temperature because of how red she looked

"You're quite warm, are you not sick?" Karina asked, her eyes filled with worry as Winter only got redder, looking like a ripe tomato ready for harvesting

"I'm... F-fine... J-just hot... I mean... I-it's a bit hot" Winter stutters her words out and Karina looks at her before grabbing the remote for her A/C and turning it to a colder temperature

"You should've told me sooner, does it feel cooler now?" Karina asked and Winter shyly nods, unable to tell the truth of her sudden weirdness and redness

"Oh... What happened by the way? After that call... I heard your brother on the other line, I couldn't ask you the days prior because you were busy" Winter asked and Karina sighed

"Nothing really... They just got really intrigued... I might've... Set your contact on my phone as... Jagi... So they freaked out and even more so after we exchanged... I love you's to each other" Karina explained, rubbing her nape as it dawns on her how embarrassing it is to talk about

"Oh..." Was all Winter could reply as she also felt the embarrassment from Karina's words, the two were like highschoolers hiding their relationship from their family and friends when in reality they're just ex-lovers who had gone back to each other after realizing that they still have feelings for each other... In other words, they're just living like how they should've been living back in those days... They should've been this embarrassed and happy with each other yet they didn't get to experience much of that because of their circumstances

"Oh that reminds me... Yeji told me that your sister has been going around asking who was talking with her sister which I assumed was you... Good thing Yeji was quick enough to shut her up, I don't think she saw me either" Winter said and Karina furrows her eyebrows

"Ryujin has?" Karina asked and Winter nods innocently not knowing what kind of danger she had just put Ryujin to, she'd just fed the beast of this information and she wasn't even aware of it

"Anyways... Did you enjoy hanging out with Giselle and Jungkook oppa? They can be quite a handful but they're fun and caring" Karina says and Winter nods her head, smiling

Karina almost gets on her knees to bawl about how adorable Winter looked when she smiled, she looked like a cute maltese and Karina wasn't sure if she wants to keep her in her pocket or pinch her cheeks but she tries to hold herself back to somewhat maintain her dignity... Yes... Even after thinking of doing all that

"They're really nice, They joke a lot too and I can see why you guys have been friends for so long" Winter replies and stares at Karina, she sees how the girl's eyes soften at her words

"Oh! That reminds me, Bring NingNing with you next time you come visit. I'd like to introduce her to those two as well and I haven't seen her yet!" Karina says excitedly and Winter chuckles, nodding her head

"I'll go tell her, I know for sure that she'll be excited to come with" Winter replies and Karina smiles fondly at her

"Karina, there's a call for you. Should I transfer it to your line?" Jungkook opens the door, startling the two girls and Karina immediately locks at the telephone line on her table

"Yes please, I'll take it from here thanks kookie oppa" Karina replies and before Jungkook goes out he throws a teasing smile to Winter and Winter just chuckles

"Hold on I'll just take this" Karina says and Winter nods

Karina picks up the call and starts talking about something regarding the case but Winter didn't understand most of the things, she was just mesmerized of how Karina looked at the moment. Her eyebrows were slightly furrowed, one of her hand holding the phone to her ear while the other was leaning against the table. Winter stands up abruptly which catches Karina's attention, her mouth still talking about the other information about the case but her eyes and solely on Winter who came closer to her

Winter holds Karina's tie and fixes it up before looking up to meet Karina's eyes, they shared the eye contact until the call ends and Karina immediately drops the phone to pull Winter in for a kiss, unable to control herself. Winter's eyes widened in shock, she was only gonna tell Karina that she was gonna go because she might be busy, she only just waited for the call to end yet here she was

She however doesn't fight back and returns the kiss, the two girls liplock until they were both out of air and Winter pulls her head away, breathless and dazed

"Sorry, I couldn't help myself... Were you gonna say something?" Karina asked and chuckled as Winter cutely nods at her

"I was gonna say... I'm gonna leave now since you'll be busy..." Winter replies and Karina smiles

"You don't have to leave so soon, you can stay here for now, I'll take you out for dinner after work... How does that sound?" Karina asks and Winter's eyes lit up as she nods her head like a kid

"Alright then, keep me company for a few more hours. Let's talk while I work... I'll go crazy if I shut myself in with all these" Karina laughs as she points at the pile of papers she has yet to go through and Winter chuckles

"I'll tell you random stories while you check those out" Winter replies and Karina nods, she gives Winter a hug before going back to her chair and grabbing some paper
