THE BALL GOES THROUGH THE NET, hitting the rim in and out before its eventual decent as the ball goes in the rim. As Y/N sees this, he gives out the most unexpected reaction you'd see from a made shot.

Annoyance.

As the ball machine passes the ball back out to him, he immediately hurls it to the other side of the court furiously before running up the stairs out of punishment.

"That needs to swish. Only swishes. That was stupid." Y/N mumbled to himself.

The basketball gym was empty. No one else in the room other than him and himself. As he gets back from running up and down the stairs, he walks back to the free throw line.

Whilst he did his free throw routine, the camera pans to the clock mounted on the wall.

"During the start of his High School Years, everyone knew that this kid was a star." An ESPN reporter said, the scenery is an empty conference room, "By everyone, I mean everyone in the campus. No one knew who the kid was as Jericho High School wasn't really a place anyone bothered to look at."

"Jericho High School was just not a program scouts had the knack to even bother pay attention to." Another reported said, "They produce talent but not talent anyone was familiar with. If you had to ask me to name a player from the top of my head who played in Jericho. . . I wouldn't be able to think of anybody. . . other than Y/N and Raja L/N."

4TH QUARTER

63 Hillcrest Prep

55 Jericho High School

2:47 minutes remaining. . .

THE HILLCREST CROWD WAS ELECTRIC as the game seemed to shift to their favor as the game halted to a timeout. At the other side of the spectrum, Jericho High seemed exhausted. . . other than Y/N.

His jaw was clenched, eyes thirsty for blood as he took a sip out of his gatorade. His glance turns into a trance as he stared at the scoreboard, eyes hovering around his stats.

25 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists.

But the L/N immediately locks back in as his father returned to the huddle with his coaching board. As soon as Raja came, all players immediately swarmed into a circle.

"Alright, listen up!" He called out, all players now leaning attentively at the coach, "There's still some damn time left so quit fucking sulking. We're gonna run an elevator play but I want you guys to run it in reverse. Rather than looking for a three, we're gonna go safe and get a quick two."
