Meera, her heart skipping a beat, instinctively turned around, her breath catching in her throat. Her eyes widened in stunned recognition as she saw a group of three young men approaching. But it was the one in the middle who stole her breath away.

Adrian stood tall and confident, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. His eyes, the same shade of emerald green that had haunted her dreams, scanned the room, landing on her for a fleeting moment. Time seemed to slow down, the world around her fading away until all that remained were his familiar eyes and the overwhelming feeling of a connection rekindled.

Adrian, every bit as captivating as the whispers had described, moved towards them with a casual swagger. The collared shirt, now open at the neck, accentuated the relaxed confidence that emanated from him. His emerald eyes, sparkled with a hint of mischief as his gaze locked onto Meera.

"Hey there, Fresa!" he called out. The unexpected nickname jolted Meera out of her daze. "Ha-ha, what?" she stammered, her cheeks flushing a brilliant pink.

Elena and Dahlia, their playful intentions momentarily forgotten, exchanged knowing glances. Meera's reaction confirmed their suspicions – Adrian, the boy from her childhood, stood before them, reincarnated as a charming, and possibly cocky, young man. "Back to Earth, Meera?" Elena quipped with a playful nudge.

Adrian chuckled, his laughter radiating an ease that seemed effortless. He turned his attention to his companions, introducing them with a casual wave of his hand. "Fresa!" he exclaimed, emphasizing the nickname with a mischievous grin. "These two are my closest amigos. This is Luis," he pointed to the man on his left, a tall figure with a friendly smile "And this is Diego" he continued, gesturing towards the other man, radiating a jovial energy. Meera, still flustered but undeniably intrigued by the infectious energy of the group, managed a small smile and a hesitant, "Hello."

A blush still painting her cheeks, Meera turned to her friends, remembering their unwavering support. "Elena, Dahlia, this is Adrian," she introduced them, Adrian, by a flicker of formality, offered a slight nod in their direction. His gaze, however, remained fixed on Meera, a hint of possessiveness flickering in his emerald eyes. Diego,  "Well, well, well," he chuckled, "This Chico(guy) here wouldn't stop talking about you, Fresa!" He winked at Meera, and then at Adrian, replaced by a glare.

"Diego!" Adrian exclaimed, "Don't you dare go there!" Diego playfully raised his hands in surrender. "Alright, alright," he conceded, feigning fear. "Not your Fresa, Meera," he corrected, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

Luis, ever the jovial one, couldn't contain his amusement. He burst into a hearty laugh, the sound echoing through the bustling hallway. "Oh man, Adrian, you should see the look on your face!"

Their chatter was abruptly interrupted by a girly voice, "Hey handsome." Meera and her friends exchanged eye rolls upon seeing Lindsey. Her long blonde hair flowed freely, and she wore a dress that left little to the imagination. Lindsey, the self-proclaimed heartbreaker of the college, exuded a certain arrogance with her makeup-perfected beauty. Meera couldn't help but worry, fearing that Adrian might be drawn to Lindsey's charm like many other boys had been.

"I'm Lindsey," she announced, her voice dripping with affected sweetness, "a senior here. And a beauty like me can definitely offer you a personalized college tour," she continued, her gaze batting suggestively at Adrian. "Guaranteed to be a lot more fun than hanging out with these...nerds," she added, throwing a disdainful look at Meera and her friends. However, to her utter surprise, Adrian's reaction was far from what she expected. His playful demeanor vanished, replaced by a steely gaze that sent shivers down Lindsey's spine. "Excuse me?" he said, his voice low and dangerous, "Firstly, I'm not interested in a 'personalized tour' from someone who thinks judging people by their appearance is acceptable." His gaze narrowed further. "Secondly, these are not just 'nerds,'" he paused, "they are my friends, and they're a hundred times more intelligent and genuine than you could ever hope to be."
