PROLOGUE

Sofia Montgomery was a young witch who was murdered in the year of 1900.

She was a smart and talented witch for her age, one who had dealt with way more than she should have before being murdered at the age of sixteen years old.

Her parents spent years trying to investigate their daughters murder, trying to find the person responsible but just when they seemed to find the person who had killed their daughter, they were killed too.

There had been many stories and rumors surrounding the Montgomery family for the many generations of people amongst the town of Beacon Hills.

The tales of the Montgomery's and their curse haunted thousands of lives for over a hundred years, with the curse stating that the Montgomery family would be resurrected and used to wreak havoc and death upon anybody and everybody.

It was a ghost story, one that was never going to become reality until one night, it did.

A powerful sorceress brought the bones of the young witch to a very large tree stump at the request of a man dreaming of his death at the hands of the youngest Montgomery, and used the power from the tree and their magic to bring the girl back to life.

The only problem was, she wasn't resurrected straight away, instead it was delayed to the point where they both thought that the spell hadn't worked.

But it had.

A Chimera by the name of Theo Raeken stumbled across a dirt covered and naked girl whilst in the Beacon Hills Preserve, and recognised her as the girl who everybody in the town had been taught about since they were children.

He knew that she would be relying on him since she was lost in a whole new world and used that to his advantage, using her skills, naivety and gratitude so that he could get what he wanted.

A pack.

He underestimated her however, and when she discovered what he was using her for and that he had betrayed everybody else, she took her chance to run.

When Peter Hale, the man who had wanted her to be revived, stumbled across her fleeing, he took his chance to save himself from her doom and killed her once more.

After that, Theo Raeken turned to people who he knew could help him, the only problem was that it always came with a price.

That price was ultimately paid, when Theo was sent to Hell.

And with nobody knowing where Sofia was, she had to venture out in to the unknown world she had found herself in, only to run in to more trouble than she could have ever imagined.

As she faced death, she didn't even know that he was resurrected.

And he was coming for her.
