Leon was awoken by a loud wrapping on his door "get up your sister needs breakfast." his eyes opening groggily as he rolled over and stood up, the cold wood paneling meeting the sores on his feet and sending a spark of pain up his body. As he walked downstairs his sister started climbing up the banister to greet him shouting "LEEN LEEN LEEN." he picked her up and started carrying her to the cluttered kitchen that smelt faintly of dust and mold, he grabbed a plate from the cupboard above the sink, the cold ceramic nearly slipping from his grip as Aspen struggled to get down in from his arms, he placed her into a chair and put some bread into the toaster and went to the fridge to grab some butter.

As he handed Aspen a piece of buttered toast he heard a loud knock at the door "GET THE DOOR" his grandmother, Margaret shouted from her overly crammed bedroom she never left. Leon opened the door to a moderately tall, slender man that smelt faintly of smoke "hi there, are you Leon?" he said in a deep warm voice that very much matched his complexion of dark skin, warm chocolatey eyes and a bright kindly smile "oh um yes Sir that's me" he said hastily offering his hand to the stranger "my name is Marquis ShackleBolt, i was asked to personally deliver this letter to you." he handed Leon a thick envelope that was slightly warm to the touch and smelt of parchment, it was ever so slightly heavy. "what is it sir?" Leon said timidly while inspecting the envelope, a red seal was on the backside of the envelope to keep it sealed, it looked to be an emblem of some sort but he didn't recognise it. "its your Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry letter of course, haven't you wondered where it has been?" Marquis said, sounding profoundly shocked "erm no sir not really, I'm not sure what you're talking about" he looked up at the strange man, Marquis with a lot of questions burning his lips.

Leons POV:

as i tried to keep up with Marquis' long strides in the hustle and bustle of London i was still thinking about the contents of the letter snugly hidden away in my pocket, i couldn't fathom all of the questions bubbling in my brain like a cup of fizzy drink barely contained by the rim, he suddenly stopped in the middle of the path in front of a tiny door that i would of overwise overlooked, he opened it and ushered me in hastily, immediately the smell of fermented alcohol and stewing meats and vegetables hit my nostrils, it wasn't an unpleasant smell but non the less i coughed as it hit me all at once "you okay?" Marquis asked me softly and he gently guided me to the bar "yeah just got a tickle in my throat" i said not wanting to say something that may offend him. After he had spoken to the man at the bar, a small grey man missing a few teeth but nice enough, he started towards a door at the back of the pub, i would of mistaken it for a toilet any other time but i followed him none the less, after shutting the door behind me i turned to see a dingy alley that smelt slightly smokey as though someone had just finished smoking a cigarette, Marquis took a long stick looking thing out of his pocket and started muttering a few words and tapping on the bricks, i thought id made a mistake following this man across London but then the bricks started shacking and moving, eventually turning into an arch that lead to a bustling street with colourful shops and lots of people wearing robes with owls and toads. "what is this place" i said with wonder as i was introduced to a new world.
