Forever Free:A Journey Through the Life of a Therian.

This is the story of a 15 year old girl named Star. She is a therian and is seen as a freak in this world. She loves nature and art and loves being a silly little wolf. Oh I forgot to mention she is a grey wolf therian! And now the story begins

"I don't want to go to school,"I whine in the kitchen. " you have to go wether you like it or not,my aunt yells from her room. "Ok," I say as I walk out of the door and to the bus. I sit silently on the bus nervously twisting my tail until I get to school.i can tell that we are here because I see the sign that says bluebrook Highschool.I go to my first class and I don't say anything. I don't have any friends so I sit alone at lunch. As I walk down the hall a boy shoved me and says," Move out of the way freak!" I've gotten used to this type of bullying by now.

When I get home I do my homework and then I go straight to the woods. As I head there I see a girl and her parents moving into the house next door. As I watch the girl turned and sees me. I duck down and hide. She walks over to me and says ," Hi, I'm Hunter! What's your name?" I stand up and say timidly ," I'm star. Nice to meet you." She looks at my tail and asks shyly,"Are you a therian by any chance?" I jump and say yes as she smiles,"I am too! What's your theriotype?" I look shocked and look around thinking she's joking. I answer and say,"I am a grey wolf what about you?" She looks shocked and before she can answer her parents call her. "Bye,"she says, "I'll see you tomorrow! We go to the same school and ride the same bus!"she yells as she runs to her parents

As I run through the woods all I can think of is that girl. She was beautiful. Like a pretty spring flower. I run and jump across the creek and then head to my den. I lay down and drift off into a small nap. As I fall asleep I dream of Hunter. We are running through the woods but she is just beyond my grasp. After that I return home.

I wake up early the next morning and get dressed and brush my hair and tail. As I walk down stairs my aunt looks at me and asks ," Why don't you ever take that off?" I look at her and shrug. "Does it matter?" I ask. She looks at me and shorts,"Never mind,Forget I asked." I run to the bus and sit near the front. The next stop is Hunters house. I jump when I see her. She sits down next to me and smiles." I didn't get to finish yesterday, my theriotype is a black wolf." I look at her shocked. "That's..... that's AMAZING!" She looks at me and laughs.

As we pull into the school we walk together to our first class. It turns out we have all of our classes together. We sit together at lunch. On the bus ride home she turned to me and says," I am going to wear my tail tomorrow." I look at her and get red," are you sure you want to do that? What if you end up like me? The "freak" at school." She looks at me and smiles sweetly," do you think I care? As long as I have you I don't need anyone else," she says. As we arrive home I look at her and say,"Would you like to come to the woods with me?" She says yeas and I tell her I'll come by at 5:00 to get her. We say our goodbyes and I walk to my house.

I swing by her house and she is ready with a backpack and her tail and ears. We walk in silence into the woods and when we get there I show her around. She breaks the silence and says," WOW! This is beautiful. She drops down on all fours and runs around chasing her tail. I drop down next to her and jump around. She lays down and sighs. "Can I tell you something?" I look and her and nod. She takes a deep breath and says," I.... I like you." I turn to her and blush," I like you too." She looks me in the eyes and leans over and kisses me on my cheek. I return the gesture. We both sit and silence. Then we head home holding hands. When we get to her home I kiss her on the cheek and tell her I'll see her tomorrow. Thank Mother Nature that's tomorrow is Friday.

When I get home my aunt is sitting in her chair playing a game on her phone. I go to the bathroom and take a shower then go to bed. I dream that Hunter and I are wolves and are sleepy in the sun.

CHAPTER 2

It's been two weeks since I met Hunter. Since then we've been inseparable. We do everything together. Our parents have become friends and now we have dinner together every Friday. We now have matching clothes,ears,tails and bracelets. I love her and she loves me.

Friday morning was different. I was walking to her house and scrolling through instagram when I saw it! What is it you may ask? A therian camp! I run through Hunters yard and knock on the door frantically. Hunter opens the door and smiles and greets me. "Look at this I say," I say holding my phone out to her. "OMG WE SHOULD ASK IF WE CAN GO!," she yells rather loudly. We both agree to ask our partners tonight over dinner. We get through the school day ok. The usual bullies were doing the normal name calling. But other than that it was I fine!

That night at dinner we asked our parents and they thought about it then asked how much it costed?I go to the website again and look at it and say,"$200 per person." "Wow that's a lot of money Star,"my aunt says shortly. " I have $100 in my wallet!" I say happily. "And I have $126, Hunter days with a smile. " ok.... You can go but this is both of your birthday presents," my aunt says to me. " I agree with your aunt. If you really want to go this is your birthday presents,"we both yell and Jim up and down excitedly." We get to go, we get to go, we get to go" we chant laughing. Hunter and her parents say their goodbyes and head home. "You're lucky I let you go, my aunt says and whispers under her breath," you little freak." I run to my room crying.

The next day I start packing. School ended a week ago and the camp starts in 3 days. I pack everything I can. Clothes,book,gear,blankets and stuffies. I make sure I have everything then pack an art bag. I put in plain masks and paint as well as my first yarn tail I'm working on. Then I take all of my stuff to the door.

The morning we have to leave I take my stuff to Hunters parents car. They offered to take us because they had nothing else to do that way. I side hug my aunt and say bye. Then we are on our way to Woodgrove Therian Camp!!!! It is about a 3 hour drive. When we arrive there are hundreds of kids waiting to be assigned a bunk house and put into a category based on their main theriotype . I wait in line with Hunter in the canine wolf line. As we wait we are holding hands and jumping excitedly. When it's our turn we sign our name and the nice lady named Miss Red(a red wolf therian) take us to our cabin. We pick our beds and then head to the lunch hall. " Welcome all therians big and small! I am the cam director and my name is Mrs Naven! And this is my wife Mrs Red. We wish you a happy stay! I would like to address one problem that we have quite often. THERE WILL BE NO HUNTING OTHER CAMPERS!!! But other than that everything else is ok with me! We have lunch ready for everything's dietary needs! So as they say dig in! We rush to get into the wolf and canine line. There is steak and vegetables,milk, eggs,bacon and so many other things. I grab steak veggies and eggs as well as milk. Hunter and I sit down at an empty table outside. A boy comes up to us and asks if he can sit with us. We say yes and he sits down. He introduces himself as Axel the red fox therian. We all have a lot in common. We became friends instantly.

Then after lunch we head down to the river and the clearing to do quads and socialize as well as swim and climb trees. After that we did some arts and crafts. I finally finished my yarn tail and everyone loved it. As I was taking it to our cabin a bigger girl stepped in front of the door and says " where do you think you're going?" " I'm putting my tail up," she points to my tail in my hand," that pathetic thing?," he asks laughing. She grabs it and looks at me saying it was hers now. I look at her and growl. " if you know what's good for you... you'll give it back." She laughs and I lunge at her trying to get my tail back I feel nails contact with my face. The camp staff run to the commotion and drag her off me. " what is going on here!?!?" Mrs Red asks. "She stole my tail so I tried to get it back and she attacked me." "Is that true Nina?" She looks at me and growls. Then shakes her head yes. We head back to the lunch hall for dinner. After that we all took a shower and went to sleep

I woke up and ate breakfast and then found Hunter and we went to do quads together outside and go for a swim.
