ENTRY 4
I'm glad that nobody found out that I snuck out last night! Unfortunately, Zai didn't make much Kera during his job. Our city's economy seems to be, well, crippling. I think that's strange, because Jesi says that the royal family pays the nightguards! Maybe they're running low on Kera too!"Jay! Get over here!" Zai says as I finish writing in my journal. I close my journal and make my way over to the dining room where everyone else seems to be already. Jesi looks at me with a bit of a worried look; everyone is (except for Zai), but Jesi looks more worried than anyone in the room.
"Jay, is it true that you snuck out last night?" Jesi asks as I freeze up a little.
"I certainly spoke too soon, or wrote too soon," I think to myself.
"... no," I shook my head as Zai sighs heavily.
"Jay, you weren't in your room last night," Livi points out with a frown.
"Yes I was, I was under the blanke-"
"You were not." Zai says, now folding his arms, "I looked under there are you weren't there."
I frowned as I looked at Zai, then everyone else in the room.
"Why do you guys act as if I'm a kid! I'm not a kid! I'm eighteen!" I exclaimed as I, in anger and like the child I am, ran out the dining room and to the door to leave. I hurriedly put my shoes on and fling the door open before dashing out the door. I can hear them calling for me to go back, but I decide not to in my fit of anger.
As I ran outside, I noticed that the water got lower again today. The same question comes to mind again, "what's draining the water?" It would always be at the back of my mind until I figured out what was draining the water. For now, I guess I'm going to be clueless about it.
Eventually, and surprisingly, I end up in the food market again. There are people everywhere like yesterday, and it was making me uncomfortable. With a sigh, I decide to just walk through the crowd and not look at anyone. For some reason, that strange presence returns to haunt me again as I wander the food market. With nobody around to stop me, I start making my way to the presence. The closer I get to it, the more I can feel it; it's an uncomfortable feeling, but I can't do anything to stop it than to just get closer to it.
As I walk to where I believe the weird presence is coming from, I get pushed by someone and almost fall. I balance myself and push through the crowd to see... a group of girls?
"... that might be the strangest thing I've seen today." I look at the crowd as my anxiety spikes up and I walk away. As I do, I see a familiar someone emerge from the crowd. I turn back around and see the prince push out from the crowd with his bodyguards flanking his sides again. Jesi was right, he was tall. Maybe it's because I'm short, but her point still stands.
I back away from where the prince was walking and into the crowd, not wanting to be seen by him by any means. He was intimidating, and it scared me. Then I remembered about the presence I was following, and it was still there for some reason. I found where it was, with the crowd of girls and such, so why isn't it gone? Maybe the prince has some weird gem that's causing it?
"Should I go up to him? No! That's rude and disrespectful! He's a prince, and I'm just some silly person with a weird gut feeling!" I shake my thoughts away and look up to see the prince himself standing in front of me!
"O-Oh! Uh, hello! Do you need something?" I questioned as he looks down at me.
"By chance, do you have something on you?" He asks as he seemingly examines me.
I dig around in my pockets and feel the amethyst I found from last night. I freeze for a second, not wanting the prince to have it, but not wanting to get in trouble for it.
