"Vanessa! Vanessa!" Was the the name I heard being screamed loudly this morning almost like an alarm clock ringing
Yes, Vanessa is my name and yes again, it's Sandra with her short fuse patience screaming my name.
What I did this morning while sleeping I can't tell but I'm sure she would let me know.
"I'm coming out" I screamed back from my room as I got up from bed and headed to the door.
"There is no light and my phone battery is dead. How can you be in this house and there is no light, you can't even properly manage a small apartment?" She asked in a saucy tone while rolling her eyes.
"Sandra, you are supposed to pay the light bill and you didn't so the light was cut off, that no fault of mine" I replied
I am just not in the mood for this draining conversations this weekend. It's Saturday and I hoped to rest from the weeks work stress without additional housemate stress. They should have just stayed in one of their boyfriends house for the week.
"Oh, you are blaming me? How many days do I spend in this house? Can't you just pay the light bill and I would pay you back when I can? Do you have to wait till they cut off our light" Sandra shouted back
"Im not in the mood to exchange words with you, so this shouting would take us no where" I replied back calmly
"The last light bills I paid, neither you nor Emily has refunded me the money. I won't pay for this one too. You can simply just pay for it with your phone right now."
"Blah! Blah! Blah! Blah! That the nonsense you are just saying. Are you trying to insinuate that Emily and I can't pay you? Do you think we are as poor as you are not to be able to refund you light bills? You know what, send that your nonsense account details so we can send you your penny" Sandra shouted again as she storms back towards her room.
This regular insult of being poor never gets old. And it's not like I'm poor, we are just middle class and I'm proud of the fact that my parents could put me through school to study and graduate with a Marketing degree.
Sandra and Emily's parents are rich according to them and the way they rate and insult "poor" people.
I don't even mind, if the insult would make them refund me my past 2 months light bills, I'm taking it.
Let me go send that account details, it seems I'm doing KFC tonight, I just got free money.
