possible c!wilbur removal plan

hey so i'm gonna keep this as short as i possibly can—

if y'all weren't updated on what's been happening as of recently, wilbur has confirmed that he hurt another streamer named shubble (or shelby whatever name you know her by) during their past relationship a while ago. this has come out due to shubble coming forward on stream about having an abusive ex boyfriend- what he's done- and the fandom decided to turn over and accuse wilbur of this behavior.

i'm not here to recap the full thing cause frankly i'm getting quite tired of the amount of unhealthy and disgusting situations that have been surfacing about multiple content creators that i used to like a lot and support, and now i feel uncomfortable writing with them. i've already left the dsmp fandom but of course due to the ccs that i still watch that i've been introduced to from it, big news still inevitably follows me around and of course circulates the internet.

in conclusion, not only am i becoming uncomfortable writing with dream but also wilbur as well knowing the situation at hand. long story short, the same thing that happened with various other ccs that i don't write with is going to occur: i am replacing c!wilbur with my own oc. he will never be involved in any of my books in the future nor when the full editing process is done.

whatever your opinion is of this situation, make whatever of it as long as you're informed. at the end of the day, this is my books and whatever changes i decide to make will come to fruition no matter how long it takes. although i do have the choice to not touch my books anymore (especially books where i'm not in those fandoms anymore or do not keep up with the ccs as much), i do think if i'm keeping something up, it should be appropriate for newer audiences and i should feel fulfilled and entirely comfortable with having it up if anyone comes across it at any point in time. after all, i see my writing as an art form and i want to be able to showcase the growth that's been going on as the years pass by.

— overall, i've been very busy and it's only driving me into a writer's block despite literally finishing outlines of entire books already. it's been difficult to pick up on actually writing a full story and getting the process going.

— my plans of editing all the y!dsmp books are still ongoing. i won't be touching gardener for a while but will definitely be getting back to it to edit out c!wilbur and insert my new oc. i think it would be easier to edit the books i've already been doing first to include this oc before plowing through gardener again.
