// tw: mentions of grooming

another warning: pretty long read ahead so bare with me. everything is important to take into account. do NOT change, askew, or misinterpret me. everything i say is as its written. if there's any specific questions you have after reading or need more explaining (i know i tend to use big boy words), feel free to pm me.

so this is gonna be a weird move for the both of us but just hear me out.

i have said and will continue to always say that i will willingly rewrite, change, or take down an entire book when the time comes around to accommodate for conflicting events. i always try my hardest to follow cc boundaries and i'm also making sure both you and me feel comfortable viewing my writing.

due to recent things that have been happening with dream regarding a grooming allegation with proof (if you would like me to send the evidence or explain the situation as best as i can privately, once again feel free to pm me), i am making a decision to revise all my dsmp books. my plan is to take out c!dream and insert an oc just like i did with c!schlatt, HOWEVER, this plan is NOT solid or set in place. i only heard about the grooming situation a day ago and i'm still hesitant on my thoughts about it. i won't ever give my opinion on the situation—i only intend to inform people in the fandom of what's happening, why people think things are problematic, and maybe help navigate things emotionally or put things into perspective—but i personally think that i feel more comfortable not writing with c!dream, especially with one of my future book ideas being a dream x oc book that i'm thinking of changing now.

i also want to heavily clarify- just because i write books about certain ccs, it doesn't mean i support them. like i say in every single intro of dsmp books, i am using their CHARACTERS that they roleplay as in lore. i never mention once about using their real selves in any books in the past, present, and moving forward. the reason i typically don't use certain characters in books (an example being c!schlatt) is due to either. . .

a. not wanting to break the boundaries of real ccs

b. questionable controversy surrounding the real cc that may make readers drift off the essence of the character and feel uncomfortable (ie. if you see a certain character and heavily connect a cc with it and that cc is someone you don't support, this could induce feelings of being uncomfortable if for some reason one decides to take CHARACTERS into account as if they were real ccs)

i want my books to be a place where it can be a leisurely read. i write because i genuinely enjoy writing, not for people (whether reader or cc) to feel uncomfortable.

personally, i haven't been watching dream as much anymore. i more so support his content more than him as a person due to the fact that he's in a lot of content with other dtqk+ members that i do watch (at the end of the day, i don't know him personally. i won't really back him up on anything huge that has been happening over time). put plainly, i like dsmp lore. i think his character is highly interesting. anything outside of that trajectory- i don't really look into/support him fully.

this same concept of "writing about a cc using their character does NOT equal supporting them in full" would be applied to skeppy as well. as of writing gas station trips, skeppy got into the same old twitter controversy with people resurfacing old clips and what not. the reason why i didn't remove c!skeppy though was because the controversy did die down quickly—i swear cc!skeppy is like dead right now. he never gave a response when it happened—and i didn't really care for it as much since i get a lot of readers who are more into the sleepybois or other ccs like badboyhalo. of course i don't want to generalize because there probably is a small batch of readers who do watch and/or support skeppy but i typically use him as a background character in some books. plus if you can't tell, gas station trips (my recent book as of now) is on hold anyways. i won't be touching it for a long time. i didn't really think too much into it unlike with dream, who has a more massive fanbase, is literally the main antagonist in most of my books, and is in the center of reader's attention a lot more than c!skeppy.

therefore, this is a creative decision i'm taking into consideration. like i said, i don't know if this is truly happening yet or not since i haven't touched any of my books in a while and i still am on the fence with this entire situation, however, just be aware that this big change may happen and if it does, this chapter and any chapters related that may come out in the future will be my testament of why it happened.

please stay safe and hydrated. thank you for supporting me this far. i hope this is a decision that maybe you don't necessarily have to agree with but at the least understand why i'm doing this. thank you.
