Reason is because he's had his heart broken so many times, but when he gets together with Inpu, he's so self sacrificing
Bryan, in S2 of Origins of Olympus, is extremely self sacrificing, to the point of heavy concern.
He gave his life, in the end of S2, to save those he loves.
And he felt responsible in doing so. That, if anyone were to sacrifice themself, is was to be him, to make up for what happened back in S1.
He gives, and he gives, and he gives, to those he loves and holds dear.
