Hide and Seek Part 2

"That was really easy" Luke says carrying Emily

"Yeah I know" she says smiling "But daddy are you really a monster?"

Luke looks at Emily

"Aww princess I was only playing with you" he says smiling

"So you were lying to me?" She asks

"Pretty much" he says

"How could you daddy I believed you let me down and never talk to me ever again!" She says crossing her arms

"Why princess?" He slowly asks.

"You lied to me, it was a big lie" she says running into her room

Luke sighed and slowly walked back into yours and Luke's shared room.

"Y/N, what exactly can I do? Emily hates me".

"Well you know she might get over it soon, I'm pretty sure she will" You say hoping he'll get better

He hesitated at rolled his eyes.

"That'll never work okay. She's very young she can almost even remember that for who knows till she's like our age" He complains

You sigh and walk to Emily's room and see her holding her teddy bear and is now against the sheets of her bed. "Mommy?" She slowly asks and smiles as she spots the sight of you.

"Hey Ems" you say referring to the nickname you always had for her ever since she learned how to speak.

"Daddy lied to me" she says looking down. "I..I thought daddy loved me".

Looking at her made you cry watching your 4 year old daughter heart broken.

"Your daddy doesn't hate you, he loves you and very much more than you can ever imagine. He was just lying to you because he wanted to know how you'll react, but he also wanted to be an actual monster and scare you when you had hiccups so that's why your daddy lied to you although he didn't want to hurt you or anything" you say with a delighted smile hoping she'll understand.

She giggles and places her teddy bear on the end of her bed and sits up. "I do believe you know, can you tell daddy I say sorry?" She asks and you slowly nod as you cuddled her to sleep.
