"Happy birthday!" My sister shouted, waking me up.

Today was my 2nd birthday. My family said they were taking me somewhere fun. It was a place they said that I really wanted to visit.

"Tank you!" I said, my high pitched toddler voice said.

I was a bit tired but that didn't stop me from jumping out of my bed. My sister caught me before I fell, giggling a tad bit to herself.

"Where's Mama?" I asked, a smile glued to my face.

"I think she's waiting at the door with Dad!" My sister said, "Now would you like to wear your sweater or the pink hoodie?"

"Sweater!" I said.

I absolutely loved my sweater. It was lie green with a big yellow stripe across the middle.

"I didn't doubt you picking the sweater," my sister said, "You always wear it. I might have to get you a new one soon."

I wasn't paying attention. I was jumping around like the little child I was. I went and grabbed my sweater, throwing it over my Mew Mew shirt and running to the door to grab my shoes. I slipped on my Uggs and ran outside, my mother waiting outside of the car while my father inside.

"Come on! Let's go!" My mother shouted.

I ran up to the car door, my sister opening it so I can get in. I climbed in because of how small I was and got in the middle seat. After everyone got in, the car started and we drove for about five minutes. We lived close to Mt. Ebbot, where all the monsters lived under. I felt bad for them, after hearing the story when I was only a year old. What was the war about? Why did it happen? I never knew.

After parking in the national park beside Mt. Ebbot, my father got hiking stuff. I noticed my sister crying. She seemed sad and scared. Her ginger hair covered her face as she silently sobbed.

"Is everything okay, Margret?" My mother asked, a sinister aroma coming from her.

My sister only nodded and wiped her tears. She calmed herself, preparing for the hike ahead. I stuck close to her for emotional support and to make sure she wasn't sad anymore. After ten minutes, I found a stick and picked it up. After showing it off to my older sister, I went to my parents and showed them with a smile. They only brushed me off, a grin on my father's face. I was confused but continued walking either way. The hike to the top lasted about another five minutes. Once there, I saw a small dandelion patch near a deep and dark hole. I went to the dandelions but before I could grab any, I heard my sister begin to cry again. I made my way over but my mother grabbed my arm.

"She's fine," my mother stated, "Right, Margaret?"

My sister nodded but couldn't stop crying. I was concerned.

"Mama, she's not okay!" I said.

"Shut it."

I was taken aback. Why was my mother being so rude? It wasn't okay in my opinion. My mother let go of my arm. She was quite forceful doing so.

"We don't need anything sad interrupting your birthday, do we?" My mother asked, putting on a fake smile.

"I think so..." I said, a bit skeptical.

"Now, go stand over there! Over near that hole so I can get a good picture!" My mother said, pulling out a camera from her bag.

I nodded excitedly. I went and stood a foot away from it, holding the stick I found earlier.

"...NOVA BACK AWAY!" My sister shouted, causing me to look in her direction where my father held her back.

Next thing I knew, I was pushed into the hole. My sister cried my name, desperately trying to escape my father's grasp. My mother dropped a few dandelions down the hole before walking away, my father taking my sister back to the car. I was scared and it was a long drop. The last thing I remember before blacking out was my sister's voice.

"DON'T- NO! PLEASE!"
