The next day, I have to go into the station for questioning. I didn't think that I'd ever have to be in this situation again, answering personal questions about our relationship.
They seem to take an interest in the fact that we haven't slept together yet. I don't see how this is relevant but they think that this could be Carmen's motive for leaving. It makes so little sense to me for multiple reasons. One, we're both consensually holding off on sex to build the actual relationship. Two, I have to remind him that Carmen is extremely honest with us. She would tell me if she changed her mind. And three, they're still implying that Carmen willingly left with whoever showed up. This brings me back to the fact that Carmen only left to get a jacket from her mom's car. They think that 'getting a jacket' was her excuse to meet the driver outside. The jacket isn't in the car anymore so it hardly seems like an excuse. And if she really wanted to leave without telling anyone, she already had access to her mom's car. It seems ridiculous for her to lock it up only to leave with someone else.
They try to ask me one more time if I saw anything that would help us find her- the abductor, the vehicle, the license plate. Literally anything. And I have to once again say no because we were just waiting for her in the restaurant. They seem to accept this for now and let me go.
