Episode 67: Beginning of The End

"I'm Sonic, Sonic The Hedgehog. In case you've been livin' under a rock, I'm the fastest thing alive. This is a world where most people are born with some kinda crazy super power. Right now, I'm a student at UA High School, where the best of the best train to become pro heroes. It's been a pretty wild ride for me and my buddy, Deku; he's the wielder of one of the strongest quirks out there called One For All. Together we've been racing our way to the top, mastering our skills and getting stronger. 

The two of us have faced off against some pretty nasty villains and monsters, and saved the whole world a bunch of times; whether it's Dr. Eggman and his cockimamie schemes to take over the world, or the League of Villains and their attempts to destroy everything. And I've had my fair share of rivals and fakers too. But for as many enemies as I've made, but I've made some pretty great friends too.  We've had some crazy adventures this past year, and this last one was by far the craziest of all. 

But I'm gettin' ahead of myself. Let's catch you up to speed!"

The scene opens within the the League of Villains' secret sub-lab, an island miles off the coast, separate from their main HQ. 

Music Insert:

For months, they've gone dark, not making a move on the heroes. They've been biding their time, waiting and watching. With their leader, All For One, incarcerated there wasn't much they could do against the heroes, especially against the likes of Sonic. For long months, they've been waiting and watching his battles, while plotting and planning their next move; the incident on the ARK, the fight against Overhaul, the Metallix incident on Nabu Island, and the battle against Infinite. With every battle, Sonic and the other heroes grew stronger. They were very much outgunned compared to the likes of Sonic or even Shadow. They needed an ace up their sleeve.

"Doctor's log: Months ago the League of Villains went into hiding, working from within the Shadows. All the while, that Hedgehog and Robotnik have clashed a number of times, the rodent growing stronger with each encounter. Additionally, more and more pieces have been added to the game; another hedgehog, the so-called "Ultimate Lifeform." After this grand discovery, I began to do some digging and before long we found a file with some extensive data. Data on a top secret government research experiment deemed "Project Shadow" as well a location known as the Starfall Islands. Before long, I set up shop on one of the islands, discovering it's amazing advanced technology and all it had to offer, as well as began working on my masterpiece; Tomura Shigaraki. For now he sleeps, but soon he will be awakened and unleash Chaos upon the world, just like my master, All for One, dreamed he would. This will bring about the end of the heroes... the end of Sonic The Hedgehog..."

After several months, Dr. Ujiko lets Shigaraki out of a containment unit used to alter and augment his body. After 6 long months, Shigaraki steps out from the chamber as smoke pours out of the machine.

Dr. Ujiko: Welcome back to the land of the living. How do you feel?

Shigaraki looks at his hand which now has a small hole in it. He clenches his fist.

Shigaraki: Powerful...

The mad doctor smiles menacingly.

Dr. Ujiko: The process is going swimmingly. We'll run some tests, but as it seems now, a few more months in the chamber should do the trick. We'll soon move you to the lab on the mainland to complete the augmentation.
