+ The rain began crashing down hitting me on the shoulder, running down onto the ground beneath me. I smiled raising my head, my eyes closed and the corners my mouth twitching into a smile. The trees around me swayed and fought against the wind using all of the strength they possessed to keep themselves standing. My eyes felt heavy as I opened them and looked around. As I heard a growl my attention was drawn from the rain back to dystopian world I had ended up in. I grabbed an arrow out of my quiver, then drawing my bow, I firing into the beasts remains of a face. My arms flops down by myside, my right hand still holding on tightly to the bow. If god cared for us, how did I end up here? I mean, are we really loved?

As the sun beamed down and the trees gently brushed against eachother, my legs dangled down beside me as I sat on a tree branch. I stared down at the lifeless body I had just tendered to. I smiled slightly as I watched their stomach rise and fall ever so slightly. I immediately retracted my legs back onto the branch as their eyes began to flutter open. I peered down at the man on the floor as he held his upper body with his muscular arms. 2 walkers, mmmhhhh I actually like that name, its better than monsters I guess! so, 2 walkers began limping over to the 'man' on the floor. He looked the smallest bit panicked but I wasn't so sure as his face had the same expression he woke up with. Motionless. I drew my bow as the walkers got closer, hitting one in the head which went straight through hitting the one behind it. The man looked around, trying to find the source of the arrow. Me, obviously. I'm pretty well hidden in the tree so I doubt he could spot me. The quarry we were in was pretty peaceful other than the previous walkers that had approached us. The water trickled over a few rock in a stream and the birds sang. It was probably the most relaxed I had felt since I fully worked out what had happened to the world on that rainy day in the forest near my old home. Now, home was all around me, and we kept moving together. The man eventually stood up, looking around frantically, noticing his wounds wrapped in cloth. The sight made me chuckle to myself, giving away my hiding spot. 'Hay, who's there?' The man rasped. I jumped down from the tree, landing behind him. He span round, standing back looking me up and down with his motionless face. 'Your welcome!' I turned back, beginning to walk away. I only wanted to watch him wake up to make sure he would make it. I made my way to the wall of sand where I, and the man had previously fell down. I had fallen before him, then followed by him maybe a few hours later. I had no intentions of making friends but I was only human, so I had to help him.
After around five minutes of attempting to climb the bank, I lost my grip then proceeding to fall, and twisted my ankle making me wince in pain. I heard a grunt from the man behind me. My head spun around, giving him a dirty look. 'You wanna try? Its not that easy!' I huffed. In that moment my eyes locked with his, making me speechless. I looked away hiding the colour creeping up my cheeks. The man walked over after swinging his crossbow over his shoulder. He began climbing, and I followed after my legs moving without hesitation. The ground beneath me started to crumble away as I got nearer the top. I attempted to grab onto something which poorly failed. As I started to fall something grabbed my arm, holding me up, not letting me fall, to what could have been a useless death. I looked up, the man was holding onto a tree branch behind him. He had climbed to the top and now I was dangling from his arm. 'damit women, are ya gunna help or wha'?' I found a rock near my feet and pushed myself up with the help of his strength. I ended up laying on my stomach next to the 'man' beside me, the quarry beneath us. I brushed myself down, and looked at him, putting a string of my h/c hair behind my ear. 'I- uh.. thank you.' I tried to make out some words as I panted. 'whatever' He began walking off, but I called after. 'Wait, how can I repay you?' I sighed, and waited for him to turn around, but he just continued to walk off. I rolled my eyes and jogged up to where he was walking, slowing down to his pace. A small doll fell out of my backpack. I looked down and the man did the same as I picked it up. He grabbed it and looked deep into my eyes. 'Where the hell d'you get this?' I look confused at the muddy doll. 'In the quarry..? You didn't answer my previous question!' I explained. He stuffed the doll into my arms and began walking off again. I screwed up my face and started to follow him..
