Rosepaws Escape (WIP)

Before the Attack/Chapter 1.

Rosepaw was sitting in the apprentices den when Mudstar called a clan meeting. Rosepaw scrambled to her feet. She spotted her friend Mushroompaw  and decided to walk with him.

Once they got there, Mudstar started talking. "As you all may have heard, we are expecting an attack from bumbleclan. We dont know when this attack will happen, so there will be extra patrol around our boundary." She mewed. Mushroom paw leaned toward Rosepaw. "i didnt hear anything about this.. I hope they wont attack anytime soon.." he whispered. "Yeah.. its weird.. i dont think anything bad has happened recently" Rosepaw replied. She looked up again at Mudstar, who was still talking. "Apprentices will go out for prey while warriors protect our clan." She meowed. "Any apprentice who is going out for prey, tell your mentor where you are going. This meeting is over." Mudstar headed for the Leaders den.

Rosepaw decided to go out for prey, so she looked for her mentor, Racoontail. After a few minutes, she spotted him by another warrior, Calicoface. Rosepaw walked over to Racoontail. "Im heading to the stream for prey" She meowed. "Alright, just be careful and look out for bumbleclan warriors." Racoontail replied. Rosepaw nodded and ran into the forest toward the stream. When she got there, she saw there werent many fish in the stream, but tried anyways. She wasnt very successful so she decided to look for rabbits and mice.

While looking around, she heard a rustling in the bushes. She started stalking, but suddenly, out of the bush jumped a cat. It pounced on her and they started fighting. She smelled the cat. BUMBLECLAN. She thought. The other cat bit her hind leg, leaving blood drops on the mud. With a yowl, Rosepaw turned and bit the other cat on the ear, causing it to run away. Rosepaw shook the mud off her, grabbed the small bit of prey she got, and headed back to the dens. Rosepaw thought about the bite, but thought it could wait till she got back.

She arrived back, and dropped the prey in the freshkill pile, then trotted over to Racoontail. "How did it go?" he meowed calmly. "Not so well" Rosepaw replied, licking the bite marks on her leg. "There was a bumbleclan warrior that attacked me. They shouldnt be in our territory." Racoontail listened to her voice tone. "You two fought for a while, didnt you." He mewed. "Yea, it gave me a pretty rough bite mark on my hind leg, but I bit its ear even harder" She meowed proudly. "You shouldnt be fighting with them, it will make them angrier" Racoontail said, worried. "Ill tell Mudstar about the cat in our territory. You go to Berrypelt to get your wound treated."

Racoontail trotted off to the Leaders den, and Rosepaw went to the clans medicine cat, Berrypelt. After her wound got treated, she went back to the apprentices den and went to sleep.
