Chapter 6

Elena's Pov:

"Damon, since Katherine and that other girl is gone, can I stay here tonight?"I asked him as I looked into his eyes looking for something to relieve him."You know I don't care either way elena." He answered with no emotion in his voice as he poured himself another glass of bourbon.

"But you would if I slept in the bed with you."I said trying to lighten the mood. He just looked at me like I was being strange, which I was. It just goes to show how much he knows me.

"Why would you do that elena?, you love stefan or well loved him!" He asked curiously. With no emotion, none at all! "Because, Damon, it's not only stefan that I love or loved, I lov-" I stopped talking when I seen damon walk towards me.

"Don't even say it elena, I know this is just a trick to get my emotions back on!" He shouted. "Is that what you think? Damon I love you!" I shouted back and took a deep breath when I realized what I had just said.

He put the glass down and looked away. Soon enought he turned back to face me and in that moment that's when I seen damon turn his emotions back on and he paused and gave me this look like his world was complete.

He cupped my face with his hands, and kissed me with passion I didn't know that he had. It was so romantic and I had wanted to do that for some while now.

After we kissed he pulled away and whispered to me "I love you too,Elena." I smiled to myself and hugged him, soon enough I was lost in thought at what our future would be like.

After a few minutes, damon picked me up and vamp sped me up into his room. He lay me on his bed and kissed me. We the. Got into bed and damon pulled the covers over out heads and .....

Suddenly, there was a loud knock at the door and someone screaming in pain. So I pulled away and looked at damon in fright, wondering who it could be at this hour and why they were screaming.

I threw on one of Damon's shirts that I got out of his wardrobe, I gave damon over his bottoms and he stood up and put them on.

Damon and I walked down stairs. He sat on the sofa and I walked over to the door and opened it. It was caroline, she was with a man. "Hi care, who's the guy and why are you screaming?"I gasped and damon ran over to me. "stefan......?" Damon asked in a confused voice.

"What is going on stefan. You were dead..... I seen your bodie!" I said looking at him in shock. He leaned over and held his stomach, there was blood all over his t-shirt.

"Maybe if you let him in he can explain!" Carline growled and helped stefan walk in. "Yeah, sorry I'm just in shock." I explained, rubbing my head. It hurt so much.

Caroline's POV:

While I helped stefan walk inside I brushed past elena lightly, mostly because, I knew exactly what was going on while stefan wasn't around! And They didn't even care that he was hurt.

I helped stefan walk over to the sofa and he sat down hard. "I-...I need some blood" stefan said weak, his voice cracking. "Yea, I grab some" Damon said walking out of the room. "Are you okay, stefan?" Elena asked putting a hand on his shoulder.

"Yea, elena, go on pretend that you care because, we both know all know that you don't!" I hissed at her, as I say beside stefan. "What? What are you talking about Caroline?" She asked acting stupid!

I looked at her. Damon walked back into the room, and handed stefan two bloodbags. "You and damon are having a great time in bed all summer while stefan is out getting attacked! And then you make up some sick lie saying you seen his dead body?"I screamed.

"It wasn't a lie caroline. Ask your mom, she found him. And damon and I haven't done anything all summer. I have just told him I loved him and showed him I ment it!" She shouted.

Stefan stopped drinking the blood bags and looked up at her. "Stefan ....., I-I'm sor -" she began. "Come on caroline!" Stefan said to me walking out of the house, I followed him.

"Can we talk tomorrow?" Damon asked me. "Yea... I guess, I'll call you tomorrow. Well thanks damon at least you make and effort unlike some people!" I spat looking at elena as I walked out.
