GENERAL CHAPTER

The alarm buzzed incessantly, slicing through the tranquility of Koko's dreams. With a groan, he reached over to silence the offending noise, blinking sleep from his eyes. Glancing at the clock, he realized it was already 6 AM. Time to rise and shine, quite literally. However, Koko decided to sleep again.

As a young adult furry canine, Koko had embarked on a journey to become a teacher, a decision that had surprised many given his past as a leader in the Phoenix Gang. But Koko had turned a new leaf, channeling his energy into something positive. Today marked the beginning of his student teaching journey, a step closer to fulfilling his aspirations.

As the alarm buzzed 10 minutes later, Koko's roommate, Max, stirred in his bed, groaning softly. "Do you have to set it so early, Koko?" he mumbled, his voice thick with sleep.

Koko chuckled as he sat up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. "Sorry, Max. Got to get an early start today."

Max sat up, yawning widely. "Oh yeah, your big day, huh? Student teaching?"

"Yeah," Koko replied, nodding. "I want to make a good impression."

Max grinned, giving him a playful punch on the arm. "You'll do great, Koko. You've got this."

"Thanks, Max," Koko said, feeling a surge of gratitude for his supportive roommate. "I appreciate it."

As Koko made his way to the bathroom, Max called after him, "Hey, don't forget to grab some breakfast before you head out! You'll need the energy."

Koko nodded, already planning his morning routine in his head. "Will do, thanks again, Max."

With that, Koko disappeared into the bathroom, leaving Max to drift back to sleep, a smile on his face.

Koko stumbled into the bathroom, the cold tiles waking him up more effectively than any amount of caffeine could. He turned on the shower, letting the warm water cascade over him, washing away the remnants of sleep. With practiced efficiency, he completed his morning routine, grooming his fur and ensuring he looked presentable for the day ahead.

Downstairs in the campus cafeteria, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee greeted him, mingling with the scent of bacon and eggs. Koko grabbed a tray and joined the queue, exchanging pleasantries with the cafeteria staff as he selected his breakfast. Maria, the head chef, waved him over with a warm smile. "Good morning, Koko! Up bright and early, I see."

"Morning, Maria!" Koko replied, returning her smile. "Got a big day ahead, so I figured I'd better fuel up."

Maria chuckled, her eyes crinkling at the corners. "You're a smart one, Koko. Can't tackle the day on an empty stomach. What can I get for you today?"
