Chapter II
J E N N I E
I got up early and prepared my things for my departure. I bid goodbye to my father but he didn't say anything nor even look at me. It's raining heavily, so I walked outside to visit my late mother's grave, not far away from home.
I survived this long because of this. I was able to visit her, whenever I was feeling down, coming here and talking to her gave me strength and peace of mind. But I guess I won't be able to come here anymore.
"Mom," I gently clean her grave stone and let my tears roll down my face as sadness consumes my every being. "I missed you so much and I'm so sorry. Please, look after him for me." I wiped my tears away when I heard a car stop behind me.
"Miss Kim," I stood up and for the last time I looked at my mother's name engraved on the stone.
I don't know who this man is in a black suit, but I think the Manoban family sent him here to pick me up. He opened the door of the passenger seat and he waited until I was settled before closing it and sitting in front, beside the driver's.
The engine started and moved as I looked outside and just watched the rain continue to pour.
After roughly two hours, the car stops in front of this huge gate with a couple of armed men in suits. When I say HUGE I mean it literally.
They thoroughly checked the car before letting us in, and it's like a dream. I was greeted with the most expensive looking mansion I have ever imagined. Stone statues guarding the entrance, a freshly trimmed lawn, flowering bushes and sunlight reflecting off the surface of a pool on a typical warm summer day. Before my mind wandered any further, the passenger's door opened up, I was escorted outside the car. This mansion would have seemed identical to any other in the prestigious houses in the neighborhood along the way, not far from here.
A well-kept gravel path led to automatic double doors. Everything about this house showcases taste and money. Floors aren't just marble, there's an expensive throw rug. There aren't a couple of volumes on the shelf, the shelves are loaded with leather-bound tomes, wood paneling, gold accents, plush carpeting under feet.
"Miss Kim," I got back to my senses when the lady beside me called my name. I didn't realize that we were now in front of a room. She escorted me inside before leaving me alone. It was a grand room filled with expensive pieces in polished black with gold accents. I wondered if it took a fleet of servants to keep them free of dust and smudges or if even the dirt was afraid to touch such elegance.
"How long do you intend to stay here?" again I drifted back to my senses when I heard a voice of a woman. I didn't notice her. I bowed my head in front of her, who is facing the window, even her back speaks elegance. Her hourglass figure with her dark aura makes my body shiver.
"I-I'm sorry. I am very pleased to meet you, my name is Jennie Ruby Jane Kim." I was nervous by the intimidation she was giving off. I can only hear the ticking of the clock and my heavy breathing.
And when I looked up she was now facing me, I was greeted with the most beautiful woman I have ever seen in my life.I held my chest as I can feel my heart going on a rage, there is something going on that I can't even explain. I have never felt this way before, this is no fear but beyond that.
She looked at me from head to toe. She sat at the swivel chair and sipped her wine with such elegance in her every move. She's wearing a white long sleeves. The few buttons of her shirt were undone, sleeves were folded revealing a full unique writing tattoo that covers her arms up to her neck.
"Die" she said, without any emotion on her face, looking at me directly digging inside my soul. It took me a few seconds to process what she had said.
"How do you want me to die, Miss Manoban?" I asked, which surprised her in a split second. She opened the cabinet at her desk and she took out a handgun.
"Blow your stupid brain out." I slightly smiled at her before stepping forward and picking up the gun on her desk.
It's not as heavy as I thought.
I pointed the gun in my head while staring at her doe eyes. In this short distance from her I can clearly see that she looks like a goddess, her powerful sexual attractiveness and dazzling beauty with a perfect Barbie face and body, her eyes really popping along with her full lips.
Well at least the last thing I saw before dying is a goddess.
I smiled at her before pulling the trigger, thinking that this may be the way to freedom. But the gun didn't go off and the smile on my face faded quickly as I realized that she was just putting me on a test.
She stood up, grabbed the glass of wine on the table and poured it empty on my head. She then held my chin tightly and put her face closer to my ear.
"And If I say don't breathe, don't breathe until you die, you will die in front of me. I am the only one who will give you orders, not anyone but me. No complaints or objections."
"I understand. I look forward to living here with you." I answered without hesitation. She's still holding my chin up and now facing me closer, her nose inches away from mine and I can be hypnotized by her eyes in no time, her breath that dances over my nose. The way she looks at me makes me feel like she's digging deep in my soul. My chest expanded on a large puff of breath as she was so close to me.
"Leave." she said and almost immediately the lady who escorted me inside was also the one who escorted me outside.
Maybe this is the reason why her previous fiance didn't last long. As for me, how long would it take me before giving up?
