The bell rung and it was time for lunch. Austin and Cara walked together to the cafeteria, side by side. While they were walking Austin accidentally bumped into into Ariana. "Watch were you're going." She sneered in disgust, while dusting off her designer yellow dress. Finn who was by her side, grabbed Austin by his shirt and pushed him against the locker.

"Watch it little boy. Learn to watch where you're walking." Finn threatened while giving him a death glare. He released him and roughly pushed him away, where he landed on the floor. Ariana sweetly kissed Finn and they both walked away, hand in hand like nothing had happened.

Cara ran up to Austin seeing the event that occured. She knelt down beside him. "Oh my god, are you okay? That little slut. I'm gonna go punch the hell out of her. I can't stand seeing you get bossed around like her own personal servant." she angrily ranted, her hands balled up into fists so hard that they were white. Cara was one tough chick when she needed to be.

Cara was about to go but Austin grabbed her by her arm. "Don't, it's okay I'm fine, see? It's nothing, just let it go." He said with a sad look.

"Let it go? What do you mean you're okay. You were gonna get beat up just for bumping into her. This needs to stop." Cara shouted, obviously frustrated that he didn't want to do anything about the situation. She stood up and stretched out a hand for him, which he gladly took.

"Don't do anything. Please." He pleaded and with that he ran to the boys' bathroom. There, he looked at himself in the mirror, his lips pursed together while thinking. 'Why am I doing this to myself? Why doesn't she like me? I treat her right and never did anything wrong. Why can't she look at me different. Why doesn't she give me a chance to prove to her that love can exist. I might not look good from the outside but I know I'm good on the inside, unlike that jerk Finn. He's just using her for her popularity. I need to change.' His thoughts were filled with questions and thinking. They were all questions that were questioning himself.

He calmed himself down and exited the bathroom, towards the lunch room. He spotted Cara sitting by herself and walked up to her. He took the spot next to her. She softly smiled at him and he kindly returned it. "Are your okay?" She asked, sipping her chocolate milk.

"Yeah, kinda." He said with frown. Cara noticed his mood and frowned also. She doesn't like seeing her best friend like that. She wants him to be happy and get what he deserves. She can't bare seeing him get hurt by some bitchy girl who doesn't deserve half his kindness.

"You have to stop this Austin. You deserve way better than her. She can't boss you around like that. So your ass is gonna make her help you with the project and after that , I will not let you obey her demands. You understand?" She declared with a stern tone. Austin looked up and saw Ariana making out with Finn at the table across the room. He stared at her for a while before nodding his head in agreement. "Good." Cara said while giving him a pleased look.

Austin stood up out of his seat and brushed off his pants. He shakily inhaled a deep breath and began to walk towards Ariana. The populars at Ariana's table were giving him glares as they saw he was heading over there. They became quiet and soon, everyone at that table was staring at them except for Ariana and Finn.

Austin looked down at his shoes. He pursed his lips together before he lightly tapped Ariana's shoulder , making her pull away from her's and Finn's heated make out session.

She kept her arms around Finn's shoulders and gave him a fierce glare once she saw him. "What?" she spat, her dark brown eyes were boring into his, intimidating him. Her red lipstick was smeared and he couldn't help but stare.

He took a deep breath before releasing it. "You are gonna have to help me with the p-project." he quickly told her, stuttering along the way. He looked down at his shoes and anxiously waited for her response. Everyone else at the table scoffed in disbelief that he would even think about hanging out with a socialite like Ariana.

His eyes flicked up to hers and he saw nothing but her narrowed eyes. "I thought I told you that you can do it yourself, being the nerdy geek of a loser you are. " she snapped, her arms falling to her sides from Finn's shoulders as she stood up out of her seat.

"But, please ? I-I don't know anything about this t-topic though. You could at least put a little effort so we wouldn't fail." He stuttered through his lies. He already knew what love was. Love . He loves Ariana. What more could he explain? Austin stood there shaking while he waited for her response.

"Alright, 10 minutes of devotion fro me. That's all you get. Just because I don't have plans after school." That was all she said before she strode off with a frustrated look on her face that made Austin sad. He didn't want to force her into working with him, she just had to.
