Chapter 5 (Experience)

Lucifer's POV:

My, this day was really stressful and tiring.. working at the hotel without Charlie's guidance was a real challenge.
Most of the guests are already at their rooms sleeping, what is a big relief. After such a day, I decided to go and sit at the bar for a bit, just to clear my mind. After all.. the whole day, I had two things on my mind. Alastor and the weird feeling inside me for the past few days. It's like.. I'm in need of something. I actually felt pretty bad for the whole day for flirting with Alastor like that, because I assumed he would feel uncomfortable.. I just couldn't control myself at that moment. Probably I should apologize.

As I sat down at the bar, Husk greeted me with a sigh.
,,I was just about to close, you know"
he said annoyed as I chuckled.
,,Oh it's okay, I was just looking for a chat with someone"
I said smiling softly, seeing Husk yawn after.
,,Well good luck with that. Angel's going to come back soon and we'll go to sleep"
he said looking right behind me with his eyes wide open.
,,Oh- hah, well I guess you just found your chat for the night!"
Husk chuckled as I suddenly felt someone sit right next to me.

,,Greetings you two!"
suddenly said the radio-voice next to me. I just smiled at Alastor, trying to hide the fact that I'm really embarrassed to be seeing him again so soon, while Husk dropped his towel and went out of the bar leaving us together.
,,Yeah-yeah, good night"
he said rushing to the other side of the room right into Angel's hands who just came back after his night-job.

Me as well as Alastor were watching the couple cuddling from our places as Alastor suddenly said.
,,What nonsense, am I right?"
I turned my head back at him chuckling.
,,I'd say they're kinda cute"

Right after that, Husk and Angel left the main hall, what caused me and Alastor to have an awkward silence pause.
But looking at each other, the radio demon decided to talk first.
,,Listen.. I wanted to talk about what happened today"
he said as his ears went down slightly. Seeing this, I sighted and decided that it was the best moment to apologize to him.
,,Al.. I'm sorry for doing that to you. I think I should have guessed that this would make you uncomfortable"
I said, watching him get clearly surprised. Well of course.. the king of hell apologizing to him. That must feel good.
,,Huh.. so you are aware of me not being really familiar with this sort of stuff, hm?"
he said with a light smirk, leaning his head on one of his hands. The look on his face made me look away, feeling slightly flustered.
,,Aha.. well, everyone here says that, so I figured. I just.. couldn't control myself at that moment"
I said, covering my face in embarrassed. Alastor looked at me rising his eyebrows. I stayed still for a bit, not knowing if I should tell him about the situation or not. But something told me that he would listen.

,,I feel a bit touch- and action-starved recently. I know, I'm nothing like you and well.. I do need romance and action in my life"
I said with a sigh, trying to make it short, so he won't get bored. But Alastor did actually seem to listen carefully to what I'm saying. After some time he responded.
,,Yes, I indeed can't imagine being in your situation at all. I find all of this just a waste of time, but.. I suppose we all are different"
he said shrugging. Of course, his answer wasn't the best someone could give, but he didn't judge me that much.
,,It's just.."
he started again.
,,I'm not completely sure what I feel about you "flirting" with me. I think I need some time to process what this feeling is."

,,Ooh, so you do feel something special about that?~"
I said clearly joking, as Alastor just rolled his eyes.
,,Hah, of course Al. I won't bother you with that either if you don't want to"
The radio demon just nodded in response with a, I suppose, genuine smile.
Another silence pause has risen up, but.. it wasn't awkward this time. Just peaceful. And I could also feel Alastor staring at me before he started talking again.

,,So you did listen to me, hm?"
He suddenly said leaving me confused.
,,Huh?"
,,Your ring. You took it off yourself, didn't you?"
he said, pointing at my hand. I chuckled as I looked at my fingers with not a single ring on them.
,,Yeah, I thought you were right, and I decided to move on.. thank you by the way"
I said looking at him with a smile, as he once again just nodded. He wasn't much of a talker when it comes to feelings, huh?
Suddenly Alastor stood up from his place.
,,You should go to bed, your majesty, or you're going to be really tired when hanging out with Charlie tomorrow"
I looked at him with my eyebrows risen. First of all, did he call me that just to mess with me? And the second-
,,And where do you know about my plans from?"
The demon chuckled, grinning mischievously.
,,I know everything that happens in these walls~"
he said, starting to walk away.

,,Tsk.. Good night, deer"
I said playing with words and trying to mess with him back. But apparently he didn't mind his new nickname, and turning around just smiled at me, before continuing to walk towards the staircase.
,,Good night"

Alastor's POV:

It was morning already and I was getting ready to meet with my dear friend Rosie at a Cafe in cannibal town today. It was somehow also a business meeting because of discussing the new staff members she brought to our hotel, but I had so much to tell her.
I didn't see Lucifer since this morning, but I knew he was already out with Charlie somewhere. How cute.. quality time with family.

After finnaly getting to the place, Rosie was already waiting for me at the entrance.
,,Alastor!~ Oh my dear, I was waiting for you!"
she said running up to me and hugging me right away. She is one of the few persons I actually enjoyed physical contact with, and she knows that.
We didn't waste any time and sat at our table starting to discuss various things. Rosie told me many things that happened to her for the past few days, and also a bit about the new staff members she organized for Charlie. She told me all about them.. their names, their stories and so on..
But after all of the things were told she suddenly asked.

,,Phew.. well what about you? Did something interesting happen while you're staying there?"
She said with a smile. I had to think for a bit, so I wouldn't say anything.. too controversial.
,,No, nothing special! Well probably the most interesting thing right now is the tension between me and Lucifer. He's staying at the hotel with us at the moment."
Rosie gasped at my words, seeming way more concerned as I thought she would be.
,,What tension? You two aren't trying to kill each other everyday, are you?"
She mumbled looking at me with a serious look on her face. I couldn't help but laugh at this sight.
,,Haha! No, no, dear, it's nothing so bad.. it's just.. uh-"
,,Alastoor?~"
She said with a mocking tone. Oh my, I knew where this was going..

,,I thought you didn't like that guy!"
she suddenly started.
,,And what about you being ace? Or is he your first timee?~"
she asked mocking me again. I didn't even say much, and Rosie already starts with this sort of stuff!
,,My my, calm down..! Aha, and actually I had something like this before. When I was alive, I even slept with a woman once as I can remember!"
I desperately tried to brush off the topic from me and Lucifer at this point. I just realized how stupid that must have sounded, when Rosie looked at me with big shocked eyes.
,,I killed her after."
I quickly added. She just started to laugh right away.
,,You sure are a monster, aren't you, Alastor?"
she said chuckling.

We had a great time together and I even mentioned that I made a little deal with Lucifer and he had to do something for me now. Until today, I had no idea what to ask him for, but Rosie, being a cannibal, gave me a brilliant idea of what I could ask for.

,,(He's an angel, isn't he..~)"
