Catnaps return..

Chapter 3 - The experimenting

Dogday woke up feeling something fuzzy and warm against his chest. He looks down and sees Catnap snuggled up against him, purring. Dogday quickly starts blushing, but hides it as he slowly gets up, trying not to wake Catnap. He decides to go and make them breakfast, and so he does. 
(Time skip)
There was a knock at the door, as Catnap answers since Dogday was in the kitchen. There at the door stood a worker from playcare.
C: "M-mr worker, how can i help you?"
Worker: "..Catnap, right?"
C: "yes.."
Worker: "Your coming with me."
The worker says as he grabs Catnap. Catnap quickly panics as he struggled to get out of the mans grip, and was gonna scream for Dogday but the guy covered his mouth, making his words turn into mumbles. Catnap kept on struggling and mumbling, but failed to escape the guys grip, leading into him being dragged into playcare. Meanwhile with Dogday, he walks into the living room to see no sign of Catnap. "Catnap?-.." Dogday mumbles.
Later, Catnap wakes up chained to a wall in a cellar. (you see the reference? 👍😃) He tries to yell but his voice wasnt loud enough, as the stuff the worker gave him caused his voice to wear out a bit. Suddenly the worker walked up to him.
Worker: "Well, seems you've woken up."
C: "W-what do you want from me?!"
Worker: "Listen, we just need you to be an experiment for us."
C: "W-wh- and do what?"
Worker: "well.. experiment.. duh."
C: "I-i mean what are you gonna do to me?!"
Worker: "oh. i dont know. maybe take some of your dna, possibly rip off one of your limbs, etc."
C: "..."
Worker: "heh, yeah, i'd be pretty surprised too. anyway, i need to start!"
The worker says as he grabs a syringe, and injects something into Catnap, causing him to wince.

Meanwhile with Dogday.
Dogday was talking with Hoppy and Bobby, discussing where Catnap could have gone.
H: "He could have been kidnapped!"
B: "Or worse, killed!"
D: "G-guys guys, enough.. All i know is Catnap answered the door for me, and when i went to check on him, he was gone. So whoever was at that door must have taken him."
B: "But.. who could it have been?"
H: "Probably kickin. he hates him."
B: "No, he apologized, i doubt he'd do that."
H: "oh."
D: "oh god i think i know who took him.."
B + H: "WHO?!?"
D: "i think it was a worker from playcare.."
H: "Oh my.. that actually makes so much sense!"
B: "how?"
H: "because when he first arrived in our neighborhood, he must have escaped or something, so maybe they were trying to get him to come back, and kidnapped him!"
B: "Ohh yeahhh!"
D: "well what are we waiting for?! Lets go get our friend back!"
B + H: "YEAH!"
(time skip)
Dogday, Hoppy, and Bobby were walking through the halls, trying to find Catnap, when suddenly Bobby heard a noise coming from the cellars, so she went to check. She walks through the cellars looking left and right, when suddenly she hears something. "Bo..bby?.." Bobby spins around and sees Catnap chained to the wall, some of his fur had turned black and his left arm was ripped off. "OH MY GOD!!" Bobby screams, causing Dogday and Hoppy to come running as they see the sight and stare in horror. 
D: "I-I THINK IM GONNA BE SICK.."
Hoppy rushes to Catnap and unchains him, carrying him with a grunt.
B: "C-catnap.. how.. why.."
C: "T-they.. took me and.. experimented.. on m-me..
B: "Oh my god.. thats horrible.."
They all hear footsteps coming as they quickly duck under a table and hide. The workers feet walk by, stop at the table, and walk away, as hoppy sighs a relief. 
H: "thank goodness.. now we really need to- well.. get you to a hospital..-"
D: "God i cant believe they did that to you, Catnap.. does it hurt?"
C: "W-well obviously.. my arm is li-literally ripped.. off.. and they.. ruined.. my voice.."
D: "right.."
(time skip)
Their all at the hospital, Dogday talking to the doctor, Catnap lying on the hospital bed, and Bobby and Hoppy sitting next to Catnap trying to start a conversation. Dogday walks into the room.
D: "The doctor said that Catnaps arm can easily be fixed with a mechanical one, but.."
H: "BUT WHAT?!"
D: "But the doctors being stubborn.. and we have to do it at home.."
B: "Why cant the doctor do it?!"
D: "Like i said, their being stubborn. Lets.. lets just go.."
(time skip AGAIN)
Their all at Dogdays house now, Bobby and Hoppy talking to each other as Dogday was installing a mechanical arm for Catnap. Eventually it was finished as Catnap moves it around, and then stares at Dogday.
C: "Sometimes I want to peel off my skin and blend it up into a salty skin smoothie and drink it."
D: "O-oh- erm- uh-"
B: "thats not normal-"
H: "ermmmmmmm what the flip?"
(YES, ANOTHER TIME SKIP.)
Dogday was lying on the couch as Catnap climbs onto him and snuggles against his chest again. Dogday slightly blushes, but hides it so Catnap didnt see, but.. it didnt work.
C: "whys your face so red?"
D: "O-oh- um- well- uhh.."
C: "Is it because im lying on you?"
D: "um- well- yeah- BUT-"
C: "oh. thats okay- i-i can move!.."
Catnap started to get up but Dogday grabs his arm.
D: "No.. its fine.."
C: "but-"
D: "its fine!"
C: "...but-"
D: "catnap. its. fine."
Catnap shrugs and lays back down on him, as they both fell asleep.
