💌 Chapter - 1 💌

Rehaana's Pov

Immersed in my work since past 3 hrs, I did not move from my desk. I am working on new posters which are really important to boost our new product, I work as lead editor in DILER ENTERPRISES which ofc is my Papa's company. I liked editing when I was in college so I thought why not make it my career when I enjoy it and that's exactly what I did. The work is not always hectic, but when it is I try my best to complete my work in the given deadline but that doesn't mean i don't eat and drink and forget my life. I'm not one of those workaholics who forget they have a life.

Anyways, I was just gonna mail the edits and the previews of the project. My brother Karim barged in, "don't you have manners ki knock karke andar aate hai ???" I said and glared at him. " I'm sorry but tum itni der laga rahi ho preview aur edit mail karne main to papa ne bhej diya mujhe..." I rolled my eyes and said "ye koi Eid ka sheer khurma nahi hai jo 15min main hojayega.... Ab product launch ke liye accha quality work to chahiye na!? Waise bhi hogaya hai mera edit karke, i was just emailing it to baba and manager."

Karim made a impressed face expression and said " then show me what AcCha QuAlItY ka kaam you have done" he said while mocking me. "Arey jaa jaa tujhe to samjh bhi nahi aayega aakhir gawar jo hai.... Papa aur mummy ki sirf ek hi hoshiyar baccha hai jo ki main hu" i said while laughing at him and then smirking later on, I saw his face turning a little red due to anger he was about to say something but just then my papa entered my office and said "Ab tak email aaya kyu nahi ?" He said being a little impatient. "Dekhiye na abbu ye ladki email bhejne ki jagah mujhe zaleel kar ri hai !" Karim said while making a sad face to papa to get some sympathy and get me scolded.

"Chup kar kuch bhi mat bol nahi to tera bhi poster bana kar bechh dungi tujhe!" I threatened him. "Abbu bas aapko email kar hi rahi thi ki ye janab aagaye aur apni baaton main uljha liya" i said while giving him a side eye. Papa made a disappointmented face to him and said "theeke to ab bhejdo beta." He sat down on the sofa of my cabin, "ji abbu AAP iski baat maan rahe hain??" He asked while getting offended, "han bilkul kyu na maanu meri beti humesha se mehnati aur punctual hai, to mujhe pata hai wo kaisi hai."

As I finished emailing the edits I looked up at Karim and sticked my tongue out to tease him. He rolled his eyes and said " ek mummy aur Chachi hi hain jo mujhe laad aur pyaar karte hai" me and abbu both laughed at him, "Haye Allah! 9 bajne ko aagaye, aaj to ammi ne 8 baje aane ko bola tha! Ab to gaye hum sab abbu" I said while looking at the time, hearing this my dad and brother both panicked and started to hurry up and leave.

Back at home

"I'm not talking to anyone now! Go and be with your office, ab khana bhi office hi bana ke khilayega jao!!" My mom said being angry and sad. Me, dad and Karim were guilty because today was her birthday. "Ammi aisa nahi hai hum bohot pyaar karte hain aapse, wo kya hai na ek badi deal ka kuch masla hogaya tha isliye jaldi nahi nikal paye..." Karim said while giving her the best puppy eyes, she just looked away cause she knows she'll melt. I went and back hugged her and said "Mumma ab apne birthday par hum jaise pagalon ke liye kyun dukhi ho ri ho..." I said while trying to make her feel better. I signaled dad to say something as he was busy texting someone on his phone, looking happy. " Arey aise kaise meri begum gussa hogi, abhi manate hai unhe hum!" Dad said and smiled, I smiled knowing that he must've planned something for her birthday in advance. "Jaayiye jaayiye aap to pura din office main the aap kya hi karenge" my mom said while pouting sadly. Dad went to mom and closed her eyes " arey ye kya kar rahein hai aap! Chhodiye mujhe!!" Mom said, dad just giggled and lead her to our garden.

We all were surprised to see the pretty decoration for the birthday bash, dad removed his hand from mom's eyes. "Hain ???!! Aapne kab arrange Kiya ye sab ???" My mom said being shocked and surprised, papa laughed and back hugged her saying " meri Jaan ka janamdin kaise bhulta, tujhe main meri Jaan basti hai!" mom blushed listening to his line, whereas all the family members were so happy seeing this cute moment. "Abbu ab bas bhi kijiye aapka romance! Cake kaate hai ab. Chalo ammi !!" He said being excited, chachi smacked his head and said " chal hat pagal aise thodi bolte hai mummy ko!" And laughed, "ouch chachi! Kya aap bhi !" He said while faking that he is hurt. "Ab in Bhai Saab ke draame hogaye to cake cut kare ? " I asked while looking at Karim. He rolled his eyes and told me to shut up.

After the cake cutting, we all are now preparing our gifts for ammi. "Dekhna tu ammi ko mera gift zyada pasand aayega!" Said Karim while teasing me. "Chal chal bohot dekha tere jaise natak baazon ko, bas baate badi badi kaam chote chote" i said and laughed. "Tum dono wapas shuru hogaye ? " Scolded our dadi and told us to come.

I went forward and gave ammi my gift, she kissed my cheeks and thanked me. I gave her a glowing planetary system.

My mom was so happy seeing the gift as she loved such cute and unique things. "Mumma aap meri duniya nahi puri solar system ho!" I said and hugged her, she giggled and hugged me back saying thank you.

Karim gifted her with new perfume set from dior with her name on them. "Thank you so much Mera baccha!" Mom said kissed his cheek.

Dadi gave her some cash, whereas chachi got her weekend of relaxation in an expensive spa hotel. Chacha gave her some beautiful saree.

Now dad came forward and gave his gift, it was Swarovski Crystal necklace. My mom's eyes shined looking at the pretty necklace it reminded her of the days when they were newly married.

Mom's eyes filled with tears as she hugged dad. "Aap royiye mat, maine vada nibhayana?" My dad asked while smiling, my mom nodded and hugged him. When mom married dad they were not rich, on the day after marriage my dad gifted an necklace like this to her which was artificial and promised her that one day he'll get her the exact same necklace with real diamonds. It was his promise that he'll take care of her, he'll complete her. My mom accepted the necklace and promised that she'll be with him in his journey and support him, it may seem as a small deal but to them it was their love, their promise to be with eachother through thick and thins.

"Awww aap log kitne pyaare ho!" I said as my heart warmed up looking at them. They smiled and said "shaadi sirf rishta jod nahi nibhana bhi hota hai" my dadi smiled looking at her happy son and wife. "Ek din jab tumhari shaadi hojayegi to tum bhi samjh jaogi!" Mom said and pulled my cheeks. "Aah! Ammi main nahi karungi itni jaldi shaadi! Main nahi jaaungi itni jaldi!" I said and pouted "shaadi to tujhe karni padegi aur yaha se nikalna padega!" My brother said while smirking, "tu ruk tu gaya ! " I glared at him and started running after him to beat him, Karim was running and saying "ab to main laadla mummy papa dono ka !!!"

Who knew that her vidaai will be soon~

*I was too excited and I wrote the first chapter! I hope you all liked it!!! This was just the bond between Rehaana and her family*
