It was again her turn to host the dinner at her home. This time Neil was helping her with the preparations.
She couldn't believe it had already been a year since Aman and Nisha shared about her pregnancy and their baby—Vansh—is already six months old.
After preparing for everything both Evara and Neil sat on the sofa, relaxing.
"Eva, there's something I've been meaning to ask you," Neil said.
She turned to look at his face and smiled. "Ask away."
"It might come as a shock but we've already met each other's family and friends and our relationship is also going quite well and—"
She knew where this was going but didn't want to jump to conclusions so she cut him off. "Neil?"
"Hmm?" he hummed nervously.
"You're rambling."
"Would you like you have me by your side for the rest of our lives? Will you marry me?" Neil took out the ring he had been carrying around for a while now and asked in a breath and waited for her answer.
The question didn't shock her but she didn't have an answer either. "Neil, I—" she didn't know what to say to him and he understood that as he smiled.
"Take as much time as you need. I'll be here, waiting for you." Neil's eyes held sincerity which hit her directly in her chest.
"Why?"
"Because you're the one for me, Eva. I wasted a lot of time by denying that and now that I've accepted my feelings, I can't just let you go without giving us a chance. I'll wait and whether it's today, tomorrow, a year, or decades from now, my feelings for you will never change."
She didn't expect the confession and it put her off balance. She didn't know what to do.

The dinner was done and everyone was helping with clearing the table when Sameera came and excused herself and Evara from everyone.
They went to Evara's bedroom.
"What happened?" Sameera asked after locking the door.
"Nothing."
"Excuse my language but bullshit! You have been stealing glances at Neil and not the flirty ones, the ones to check if he's doing okay which seems absurd considering this is not the first time we all have met in a setting like this. So, Evara, I know for a fact that something is going on with you two."
Evara
Sameera only used her full name when she was serious.
"He proposed to me."
