Jennie POV
Jennie had always been a hopeless romantic. She believed that her perfect love story was just waiting to unfold, and she was willing to wait for it. Little did she know that it would come in the most unexpected way.
It was a rainy afternoon when Jennie took shelter in a small cafe while waiting for her friend. As she was sipping her coffee and enjoying the view of the pouring rain outside, she noticed a girl sitting at the corner table. She was staring out the window with a melancholic look on her face. Something about her caught Jennie's attention.
As if sensing her gaze, the girl looked towards her and their eyes met. A jolt of electricity ran through her body, and she quickly looked away, feeling a bit embarrassed. But something about her made her want to keep looking.
She couldn't quite put her finger on it, but she felt drawn to her. She couldn't resist stealing glances at her from time to time. To her surprise, she was doing the same.
As the rain stopped, Jennie noticed that the girl was about to leave. Without thinking, she got up from her table and followed her outside. She stood at the entrance of the cafe, watching as she walked towards her car. Before she knew it, she was walking towards her.
As she approached her, she mustered all the courage she had and tapped her on the shoulder. She turned around, and Jennie was taken aback by his striking brown eyes.
"Hi, I'm Jennie. I know this may sound crazy, but I couldn't help but notice you back inside the cafe. Would you like to grab a cup of coffee with me?" she blurted out, her heart beating rapidly.
The girl looked surprised at first, but a small smile appeared on her lips. ''I'm Lisa. And yes, I would love to have coffee with you,''she said, gesturing for her to follow her.
They walked towards another cafe a few blocks away, and they talked as if they've known each other for years. They talked about their interests, their dreams, and their favorite books and movies. It was as if they were meant to meet.
Hours passed by, and they didn't even notice. Before they knew it, the sun was setting, and it was time to say goodbye. Jennie realized that she didn't want this day to end. She wanted to spend more time with Lisa.
''Do you want to meet again tomorrow?'' Lisa asked, breaking the silence between them.
Jennie looked at her with a smile and nodded. ''Yes, I would love that.''
