Selena's POV

I stared at my small but growing belly in the mirror and I was still in shock that I was going through this all over again. I finally told my mom and Sevyn that I was pregnant in which they were so happy for me. Today Kass and I were going to stop by Covergirls because Anita wanted me to pick the girls out to dance for us since I was still deemed the head dancer at the club. I didn't mind it, but I had a bad feeling about Covergirls and its whole entirety. Even though Ray was gone his wife was like a second version of him in my opinion. Probably worse.

"You fine as hell ma." Kass came behind me and kissed the side of my face. "What's wrong?" He could see the sadness written across my face.

I sighed and rubbed my belly over and over, "I'm nervous about this now. I know it's hypocritical of me to say it but you are right I don't think I should be dancing. I mean what if I do have an accident and then—"

"Don't even talk like that Lena. Look, maybe you can bartend until you have the baby. It's other shit you can do there besides that. Don't stress ya self out about this. Aight? You hear me?" He stared at me through the mirror as I looked back at him.

I nodded my head, feeling relieved by his words.

Arriving to Covergirls, there were so many women lined up to audition for their spot in the club and I was excited but still felt weird about the situation. Anita greeted us at the door and let us come inside while they still waited outside.

"Kass." She shook his hand then smiled at me before pulling me in for a hug, "Selena honey, you look so pretty. Congratulations on your pregnancy by the way. Kass already told me so is dancing something you still want to do?"

"Thank you. Um, I've decided that I could possibly take the bartending position until I have the baby. Then I don't mind dancing." I explained to her.

"You know that your spot could be taken with you not doing your main job." Anita said and Kass stepped to her.

"What you mean by that?" He mugged her down. He was so extra.

"What I mean is that you know how these niggas in here be thirsty and they crave to see the same woman all the time. They have favorites and you are , well was the favorite. But since you won't be dancing for a while they just might forget about you." She shrugged rubbing her hands together.

"Hell na, they ain't gon forget my baby. Don't even play with her like that." Kass butted in again.

"Look Anita, right now I'm just trying to make my money and make sure my pregnancy goes well. If I have to give my spot up to one of those ladies out there then that's fine." I kinda did have a problem with giving my spot up, but I couldn't help that I was pregnant. I just didn't want to risk it.

"Aww sweetheart you know you will always be Summer and nobody could ever replace you. Kass why don't you go help the guards set up...let me talk to Selena alone please."

Kasseem gave me a kiss and a hug before he walked off into the back of the club and Anita turned attention back to me. "Selena I want to let you know that I'm sorry for what happens between you and Ray. I know that it was hard for you to go through those things and—"
