(Nightmare/Y/n's Pov:)
"Ugh." I groan. I look down to see a book in my hands? That's when confusion struck me. I slowly look up from my book, even though there is still some throbbing pain in my head from all that light and confusion.
Wait, I'm not alive, is this... is this some kind of flashback? Forget that, I'm to curious.
As I look up to see the shimmering bright sun on a tree I'm currently leaning on. Whilst I look up I see a massive tree, which has 2 sides. One side with inky black apples, and the other with gold. I look down to see what I'm wearing.
I was wearing a lavender jacket with long sleeves and a golden belt that had the initials of NM on it. My pants were black and my boots were purple, I reach to touch my head instinctively and feel a headpiece on, so I grab it to see a golden headpiece with a crescent moon carved into it.
"Wow" I awe in amazement as I put my crown-like thing back on my head.
Since I was bored I looked down and thought. Why not read? Well turns out the book was Forth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. It was an interesting story really, so interesting that I did not even notice a skeleton who looks like me was coming directly at me, running.
My eye's go wide in shock as I'm knocked over by a skeleton, same size as me, kinda looks like me but, happier?
" NIGHTY, HOW ARE YOU?!" My ears ring with confusion as I'm hit with an explosion of positivity.
"H-huh?" Then a few memories come back. This skeleton is my brother?! wait-what? Dream is the name.
"Oh! uhm hi Dream!, how are you?" I say as I hug the precious little ball of sunshine. Dream smothers his face into the crook of my neck and responds.
"I'm great if you're great!" Awe, how sweet of him.
Then just as I'm about to say another thing, I pass out leaving only me and the darkness of the void.
