Your point of view.

Two years.

It had been two years since the first appearance of the mysterious portals. One that created a huge uproar. Putting the entire world into deep turmoil.

It all lead to a serious of huge controversies.

It was all that was discussed around the media. And the government tried everything in their hand to calm the civilians.

That was until the monsters stepped out.

Funny how people argued, about what could actually be behind those mystifying gates. Some stated it to be a passage of our world connecting with the higher beings.

While others argued it to be a connection between the world of exotic species.

While they were not completely wrong. No one was ready for the unsettling tragedy.

Seven days after it's appearance, a catastrophic event took place, where the once-contained monsters surged through the portals invading our world with a relentless ferocity.

Many died. Many were injured, handicapped for a lifetime. But the unsettling thing was that no amount of gear or man power ever managed to defeat them.

But. The hunters were also part of those bizarre events that completely changed the course of the world.

Humans with high affinity for magical powers. Those who fought the beasts and were given access to cross the gate to destroy them.

Arguably it all became a business. They said the magic crystals found behind those gates were worth in thousands. And even their corpses could be collected to be sold.

To be honest. I was amazed by their act. Always looking forward to any news regarding the issue.

Why wouldn't I?

I too could feel the energy flowing inside me. And it all started on that day, when the gates first appeared, I couldn't truly process the change. But as days passed it became pretty evident to me.

And all of it can't be mentioned to my sister.

Our financial conditions aren't the best. But she's working, earning for a living, ever since our mother's death. Her salary isn't enough, silently managing on putting food on our plates. But the fact that she's not losing hope, is all that needs me to completely put my trust on her.

She also..quiet possessive over me. And that's understandable. We are each other's only family left.

I can't mention about these powers of mine to Sun-hee. And I have tried my level best to hide it from her.

"Next person. Please come inside."

But the truth can not be hidden forever. That's why I'm here, to get my rank evaluated.

If anything I would wanna know about my limits.

Getting up from my seat, I followed the female staff. Entering the room behind her. Stepping inside, my eyes wandered towards the mana meter kept in the center.

"What's your name?" The female asked stepping behind the controls, eying me with a smile.

"It's Lee Y/n."  I stated averting my eyes towards her.

"Alright." She nodded. "Can you please place your hand on top of the mana meter."

I followed her instructions, standing infront of the meter, placing my hand on top on it.

And immediately after, it started glowing. My energy flowing throught it. Feeling the air around turning heavy.

"Huh?" The worker whispered in confusion, staring at the computer with a frown. "Wait a minute we'll try once again."
