"Sage, you're late again. I'm going to have to write you a referral." The teacher says.

"I'm sorry miss. It's just been really hard."

"That's not an excuse. Principals office. Now."

Sage sighs, and heads down to the principals office.

"This is the third time you've been here this week Sage. What's going on?" The principal asks.

Sage thinks back to last night with Lightning. She missed him more than anyone right now. She wanted to see him.

"Nothing's wrong. I've just been missing the bus a lot. My alarm doesn't wake me up anymore."

"Well you may want to consider setting up multiple alarms so you aren't late anymore. Because this many late marks could lead to suspension. Do you understand?"

"Yes sir."

"You're free to go back Sage."

Finally, it was night. Pheonix went to the rooftop to see Lightning.

"Well well well, who do we have here? It's miss Pheonix in the flesh!" Lightning says.

"I'm flattered. Hey, I'm hungry, wanna go catch something to eat instead doing absolutely nothing up here?" Pheonix asks.

"Sure. There's a McDonald's right there if you want that."

"Oh my gosh, we just met and you already know me so well."

Lightning chuckles. "Okay let's go."

They walk into the McDonald's and attempt to order but they are cut off by someone screaming.

"VILLAIN!" Someone screams.

"Oh you little-"

"Light, calm down it's okay." Pheonix tries to calm down Lightning, but her attempts are pointless.

"Light, if you hurt her, you're going to get in trouble with the heroes. Just let it go, we can get food somewhere else."

"I'm afraid you already are in trouble with the heroes. Pheonix, what are you doing with a villain?" The hero asks.

"You're with them? Pheo I thought we had something." Lightning says.

"I- we did."

"Did? So what we had is just magically gone? I'm sick of this shit. I'm leaving. Goodbye Pheonix."

"Wait! Light! Don't leave! Please.."

"You actually liked him? Get over yourself Pheo. He's a villain. You're a vigilante. It would've never happened. Be real with yourself. You knew it would've happened at some point. You just didn't want to believe it. Let's get out of here." The hero says.

Pheonix had nothing, and no one now. Not even her best friend.

Ricky heard muffled sobbing in the alleyway. Now, any logical human would avoid the alleyway at all costs, but Ricky is a little dumbass and explored it anyway.

"Hello? Is anyone there?" Ricky calls out.

"Go away."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. Go away."

"Okay.. If you insist."
